National Standard of the People's Republic of China Test method for determining the punctureresistance of geotextiles Subject content and scope of application This standard specifies the test method for determining the bursting strength and bursting displacement of geotextiles. This standard is applicable to various woven fabrics, knitted fabrics, nonwoven geotextiles, geomembranes, and sheet-like composite geotextiles. 2 Reference standards GB6529 Standard atmospheres for conditioning and testing textiles GB8170 Rules for rounding off values GB/T13760 Sampling and preparation of geotextile samples 3 Definitions 3.1 Top pressure The force measured when the top pressure rod presses the sample. 3.2 Bursting strength The maximum top pressure measured when the top pressure rod presses the sample until it breaks. 3.3 Displacement The distance from the top of the push rod to a certain position when it contacts the surface of the sample. 3.4 Bursting displacement The distance the push rod pushes when the sample is pushed to the bursting strength. 3.5 Deformation rate The percentage change in the length of the sample from the inside of the annular fixture to the edge of the push rod. 4 Principle GB/T 14800-93 Fix the sample in the specified annular fixture, use a flat-headed cylindrical push rod to push the sample vertically at a certain speed until it breaks, and indicate the bursting strength and bursting displacement. 5 Testing instrument 5.1 Constant speed material testing machine, and it should have a recording device, the recording force error shall not exceed ±1% of the full scale, and the push rod displacement error shall not exceed 1 mm. The testing machine speed is 60±5mm/min, and the stroke is greater than 100mm. 5.2 The clamping device is shown in Figure A1 of Appendix A (Supplement). The base height of the clamping device must be greater than 100mm, the inner diameter of the annular clamp is 150mm, and its center must be on the axis of the top pressure rod. 5.3 The top pressure rod is shown in Figure A2 of Appendix A (Supplement). The top pressure rod is a cylinder with a diameter of 50mm and a height of 100mm, and the top edge is inverted into an arc with a radius of 2.5mm. Approved by the State Administration of Technical Supervision on December 25, 1993 and implemented on June 1, 1994 6 Test conditions GB/T 14800-93 The standard atmosphere for the test is in accordance with the provisions of GB6529, with a temperature of 20±2℃ and a relative humidity of 65%±5%. 7 Preparation before the test 7.1 Sampling is performed according to the requirements of GB/T13760. 7.2 The sample should be humidified for 24 hours under standard atmospheric conditions. 7.3 Cut 5 300mm circular specimens from the humidified samples according to the requirements of GB/T13760. There shall be no visible defects on the specimens that may affect the test results. Make 6 8mm wide grooves evenly 5 cm away from the outer circle of each specimen (depending on the clamping device). See Figure A3 in Appendix A (Supplement). 7.4 Calibrate the instrument, and the descending speed of the top pressure rod is 60±5mm/min. 8 Operation method www.bzxz.net Put the sample into the annular clamp and tighten the clamp in a natural state to prevent the sample from sliding or breaking during the top pressure process. Then put the clamping device on the testing machine and start the testing machine until the sample is completely broken. If the geotextile slides or breaks obviously in the clamp, it shall be discarded. 9 Test records Burst strength, i.e. the maximum force recorded (N); Burst displacement (mm); Relationship curve between top pressure and displacement (as needed); Top pressure at the specified displacement (N, as needed). 10 Calculation and expression of results 10.1 Calculate the average value and coefficient of variation (%) of the bursting strength (N), bursting displacement (mm) and top pressure at the specified displacement (N, as needed) of the five specimens.
