Some standard content:

GB/T17826—1999
my country has a coastline of more than 18,000 kilometers, and the vast sea area is home to tens of thousands of marine life species. It is these marine life that play an important role in maintaining the balance of marine ecology. For many years, there has been no unified standard in the classification of marine life in China, which has brought many difficulties to our scientific research and teaching work.
In order to facilitate the scientific development of my country's marine biological classification work and realize the automation of marine biological classification retrieval and query work, it is very necessary to compile the national standard of "marine biological classification code". This standard will provide scientific basis and criteria for future marine biological classification work.
This standard is consistent with relevant national laws and standards. This standard is proposed and interpreted by the National Marine Information Center entrusted by the State Oceanic Administration. This standard is under the jurisdiction of the National Marine Standards and Metrology Center. The drafting unit of this standard is the National Marine Information Center. The main drafters of this standard are: Guo Fengyi, Ma Zhihua, Wang Liming, Zhang Guifen, Yan Tie, Yan Zhiwen. 1 Scope

Marine bio-taxonomic codes
Marine bio-taxonomic codes
GB/T 17826 1999
This standard specifies the classification system and classification code for marine organisms widely distributed in China's coastal waters and jurisdictional waters. This standard is applicable to the information processing and exchange of marine species and large groups of common species found in China's coastal waters. 2 Definitions
This standard recommends the use of the following definitions.
Marint bio-taxonomic classification code cades A code is assigned to each marine organism according to its relationship and classification position in the phylum, class, month, family and genus.
3 Classification principles
3.1 The marine organisms included in this standard are marine species found in the waters adjacent to my country and species found in the oceans. 3.2 The classification level of marine organisms adopts the internationally accepted five-kingdom classification system. 4 Coding principles
The classification code of marine organisms specified in this standard consists of 18 Arabic numerals, of which each classification level consists of three digits. The codes of the two are the same, but "" is added in front of the word to indicate that it is a synonym. 010

4.1 The names of marine organisms listed in this standard do not include the name of the person who named the organism, the distribution area and other information. 4.2 Some marine organisms have two or more literary names, and experts will determine to retain one of the names. 4. 3 To meet the extensibility of this standard, the first two digits of each taxonomic level above the genus are used for taxonomic coding; the third digit is used as an expansion digit to insert a new taxonomic code between two adjacent taxonomic codes. 4.4 Taxonomic level abbreviations (see 4.5) are used to indicate the taxonomic structure within the same taxonomic level. For example, for family: UF or TF1001010010 indicates superfamily or superfamily; F010010010020 indicates family;
$F010010010
D30 indicates subfamily.
State Administration of Quality and Technical Supervision approved W2000-05-01 for implementation on August 11, 1999
