National Standard of the People's Republic of China Water quality standard for scenery and recreation area GB12941-91 In order to implement the Water Pollution Prevention and Control Law of the People's Republic of China" and the "Marine Environmental Protection Law of the People's Republic of China", to protect and improve the water quality of landscapes and recreational water bodies, restore and maintain the natural ecosystem of their water bodies, and promote the development of tourism. This standard is specially formulated. Scope of application of the standard This standard applies to rivers, rivers, lakes (reservoirs), seawater bodies or parts thereof for the purpose of landscape, recuperation, vacation and entertainment. 2 Classification and standard values ??of standards 2.1 Classification of standards This standard is divided into three categories according to the different functions of water bodies: Category A: Mainly applicable to natural bathing beaches or other places in direct contact with the human body Landscape, recreational water bodies. Category B: Mainly suitable for national key scenic spots and those landscape entertainment water bodies that are not in direct contact with the human body. Category C: Mainly suitable for general landscape water bodies. 2.2 Standard values Various water quality standard items and standard values ??are listed in Table 1. When the water temperature is higher than 20℃ , when pH>8, non-ionized nitrogen must be used as an indicator to control water quality. 2) Bathing beach water temperature. Each region can stipulate items not clearly specified in this standard according to the specific local conditions. The standard values ??and values ??in GB3838§ Surface Water Environmental Quality Standard and GB3097 "Sea Water Quality Standard" shall be implemented. its relevant provisions. 3 Implementation and management of standards 3.1 Local environmental protection departments will work with relevant departments at the same level to delineate the protection scope and use types of landscapes and recreational waters. 3.2 If it is a landscape or recreational water body, the natural background value of some standard items (that is, not subject to artificial pollution) is higher than the standard value stipulated in this standard, and the original natural state should be maintained. 3.3 In the absence of accidents and interference from special natural conditions, the water quality of landscape and recreational water bodies should have more than 95% of the analyzed samples within one year complying with the provisions of this standard value. 3.4 ??The water quality of natural bathing spots in Class A waters during the swimming season should ensure that all analyzed samples meet this water quality standard. 3.5 Wastewater containing toxic and harmful pollutants is prohibited from being discharged into landscape and recreational waters. General industrial wastewater and domestic sewage are prohibited from being directly discharged into Class A and Class B waters. The wastewater must be treated to ensure that the receiving water body meets the water standards. Only under certain conditions can the water be discharged into Class C waters. 3.6 If the same water area has multiple functions, the water quality standard for the highest functional water shall be implemented. 4 Water quality monitoring 4.1 The analysis methods of each item of this standard are implemented in accordance with Table 2. The collection and storage of water samples are strictly in accordance with the relevant provisions of the "Technical Specifications for Environmental Monitoring". 4.2 The collection, storage and analysis methods of seawater samples shall be carried out in accordance with the "Marine Monitoring Specifications". For items where the analysis method is not specified, follow Table 2. 4.3. For monitoring sampling points, representative locations should be selected. The instantaneous monitoring value shall not be used as the basis for water quality judgment. In any case, sampling frequency shall not be less than once a month. The sampling rate should be appropriately increased for water bodies with signs that the water quality may deteriorate and for natural bathing water bodies during the swimming season. The increased sampling rate shall be determined by local monitoring departments based on the specific conditions of the water bodies, and the analysis results and sampling conditions shall be reported to the local environmental protection authorities. .
