3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this standard.
Huangshan Maofeng Tea
Under the specific natural ecological environment conditions within the protection scope of the origin, the leaves of Huangshan species, Xiye species, Dishuxiang species, Zhizhou species and other local fine varieties of tea trees and selected fine varieties of trees are made through unique craftsmanship. The tea has the characteristics of "strong buds, long-lasting fragrance, dense and fresh taste, and refreshing taste". 4 Origin Range

5 Score and physical standard sample
5.1 Grading

6.1 Natural environment
6.1.1 Geography
Huangshan City is located in the northeast of Anhui Province, on the northern edge of the Yellow River. Huangshan Mountain is a mountainous area stretching from northeast to southwest. It is a landform with medium and low mountains and basins and valleys alternating with the middle and old as the framework. The mountains are densely overlapped, the landform is steep, and the valleys are staggered. The dams are mainly distributed in the middle and low mountains and hilly areas.
6.1.2 Climate
Huangshan City is a tropical zone with a moist climate. The climate is dormant, with little severity in winter and no heat in summer. There is abundant rainfall, high humidity and much fog. The sunshine hours and the ratio of sunshine hours are relatively low, the solar energy resources are scarce and the heat energy is long. 6.3.3 Insect control

6.3.3.1 Agricultural pest control, biological control and physical control are the main methods. When necessary, use chemical pest control methods carefully. Huangshan Maofeng is made by picking the fresh leaves of Huangshan tree, such as Huangshan leaf variety, dripping fragrant, Yizhou variety and other local tea trees, and the fresh leaves of the clones of the selected and bred trees are used as raw materials.
