Partially replaces GB/T 4122.4—2002 "Packaging Terminology Wood Container", GB/T 13039-1991 "Packaging Terminology Magnesium Concrete Container", GB/T13040-1991 "Packaging Terminology Metal Container". The main changes of this part compared with GB/T4122.4—2002, GB/T13039-1991 and GB/T13040-1991 are as follows: the scope of the standard has been expanded; the structure has been adjusted according to the classification of packaging materials; "Terms for Design and Inspection", "Technical Terms", "Component Terms" and "Auxiliary Terms" have been deleted; and the chapters "Paper Packaging Materials and Containers", "Plastic Packaging Materials and Containers", "Glass Packaging Containers" and "Composite Packaging Materials and Containers" have been supplemented.
This part is proposed and managed by the National Technical Committee for Packaging Standardization (SAC/TC49).
