This standard is aimed at the continuous development of quartz resin coated sand products and the continuous progress of technology in my country in recent years, and it revises the defects and deficiencies in the original standard SY5274-91 "Resin coated sand" to achieve the purpose of standardizing quartz resin coated sand products. This standard has revised the following aspects of the original standard: 1: Revised the name of the original standard, and changed "Resin coated sand" to "Resin coated sand"; 2. Revised the scope of application of the original standard, and the new standard is only applicable to quartz resin coated sand; 3. Revised the definition of quartz resin coated sand in the original standard; 4. 5. The marking method of quartz resin coated sand in the original standard was revised; 6. The classification requirements of resin coated sand in the original standard were revised; 7. The test method of quartz resin coated sand in the original standard was revised to clarify the definitions of particle dispersion rate and resin coating rate; 8. The marking content and marking order of quartz resin coated sand products in the original standard were revised; 9. The additional instructions in the original standard were deleted. From the date of implementation, this standard will replace the SY5274-91 standard proposed by China National Petroleum Corporation. This standard is under the jurisdiction of the Oil and Gas Production Professional Standardization Committee, and the drafting unit of this standard is: Dagang Oilfield Group Drilling and Production Technology Research Institute. The main authors of this standard are Zheng Suqing, Liu Jianxun, Ma Jianmin and Wang Wencheng. This standard was first issued in July 1991 and this is the first revision. Ⅱ
1 Scope
Petroleum and Natural Gas Industry Standard of the People's Republic of China Resin-coated sand
Resin-coated sand
SY/I 5274—2000
Replaces $Y5274-91
This standard specifies the name and marking, index requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, transportation, storage, etc. of quartz resin coated sand.
This standard applies to quartz resin coated sand used in sand control operations for oil, gas and water wells. 2 Reference standards
The provisions contained in the following standards constitute the provisions of this standard through their use in this standard. When this standard is published, the versions shown are valid. All standards will be revised, so the parties to this standard should explore the possibility of using the latest version of the following standards. SY/T5184—1997 Quartz sand for sand control operations in oil and water wells SY/T5276—2000 Determination of flexural strength, compressive strength and gas permeability of chemical sand control core 3 Definitions
This standard adopts the following definitions:
Quartz resin coated sandresin quartz coated sand Quartz sand with specified particle size, roundness, sphericity and strength is coated with resin. After drying and screening, the loose particles can be cemented into a whole with a certain strength under certain conditions. 4 Name and marking
4.1' Marking content
Sand is marked according to the type of resin, curing method, curing temperature and sand particle size series. 4.2 Marking method
Quartz resin coated sand is marked according to the following method: n
Particle size (unit: mun)
Minimum curing temperature (unit:)
Curing method ("heat" indicates thermal curing, "catalyze" indicates catalytic curing) Resin name (simplified expression without characters)
4.3 Marking example
Catalytic curing quartz resin coated sand with powdered formaldehyde resin coating, curing temperature of 50t, and particle size of 0.40-0.80mm is marked as:
Acid catalyzed 50--0,40~-0.80

Indicator requirements for raw materials
Approved by the State Administration of Petroleum and Chemical Industry on December 12, 2000, June 2001-(1 Implementation
SY/T5274—2000
The particle size, roundness, sphericity, clay and fine particle content, acid solubility, and crushing rate of quartz sand should comply with the provisions of SY/T5184. The particle size, roundness, sphericity, clay and fine particle content of quartz sand are shown in Table 1, and the acid solubility and crushing rate are shown in Table 2. The selection of the series of quartz sand particle size can refer to Table 2. Table 1 Quartz sand particle size, roundness, sphericity, clay and fine particle content index Mesh
Indicator compliance rate ≥ 96%, and no more than 2% of the sand samples tested shall have a particle size smaller than (or larger than) the minimum (or maximum) sieve size of the selected mesh. Roundness
Acid solubility and crushing rate index
Quartz sand particle size range
0.30~0.60
0.80~1.25
Acid solubility
The indexes of resin and other additives shall meet the requirements of qualified product factory indicators. 5.2 Physical index requirements for quartz resin coated sand Clay and fine particle content
Crushing rate
The roundness and sphericity of the product shall meet the requirements of SY/T5184, and the specific values are shown in Table 1. The clay and fine particle content shall be less than or equal to 1%, the particle dispersion rate shall be above 98%, and the resin coating rate shall be above 95%. 5.3 Strength index and classification of quartz resin coated sand The quartz resin coated sand was cured in a water-based sand-carrying liquid at a curing temperature of 50°C for 72 hours, and the compressive strength and flexural strength of the core were measured. The qualified products were classified according to the measured values. When grading, both indicators must meet the requirements at the same time. The classification is shown in Table 3.

Test method
Compressive strength
6.1 Particle size, roundness, sphericity, clay and fine particle content, acid solubility, and crushing rate Flexural strength
Particle size, roundness, sphericity, clay and fine particle content, acid solubility, and crushing rate tests should be carried out in accordance with the provisions of SY/T5184. 6.2 Flexural strength and compressive strength
SY/T5274—2000
Flexural strength and compressive strength tests shall be carried out in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 2 and Chapter 3 of SY/T5276-2000. 6.3 Particle dispersion rate and resin coating rate
Use a microscope to examine 100 grains of quartz resin-coated sand. The particle dispersion rate and resin coating rate are calculated according to formula (1) and formula (2).
