The following terms and definitions apply to this standard. 3.1
Gasproofness Test
A test to assess the gas tightness of the package or packaging sample and the ability of the package to protect the contents by immersing the package to contain liquid in water and passing a certain amount of compressed air.
4 Test Equipment
Packaging Gas Tightness Tester: in accordance with the provisions of G13/T17314. 5 Test Procedure
5.1 Number of Samples
3 samples.
5.2 Test Steps
5.2.1 Connect the two ends of the pressure gauge to the air compressor and the test sample respectively. 5.2.2. For the closure with vent holes, it is necessary to replace it with an airtight closure or block the vent holes, and ensure that the connection is airtight. 5.2.3 Immerse the sample in water, connect compressed air, and inflate the sample so that the internal pressure of the sample reaches the test pressure. 5.2.4 See Table 1 for the applied air pressure (gauge pressure).
