Introduction to standards:

This standard gives the terms and definitions for the types of vehicles, trailers and vehicle trains. This standard applies to vehicles, trailers and vehicle trains designed for operation on roads. Some standard content:

GB/T 3730.1—2001
This standard adopts ISO/WD3833:1999 "Terms and Definitions of Road Vehicle Types", which is a revision of GB/T3730.1-1988 "Vehicle Types". The difference between this standard and ISO/WD3833: Since my country already has motorcycle "Terms and Definitions of Motor Vehicles and Semi-trailers
" and moped terminology standards, the terms and definitions of motorcycles and mopeds in ISO/WD3833 are deleted in this standard, and the other technical contents are equivalent to the contents of ISO/WD3833; and according to the requirements of GB/T1.1, an index part is added on the basis of the contents of ISO/WD3833.
This standard is quite different from the previous version in terms of standard content. It no longer classifies and grades vehicles, but gives specific terms and definitions of various models, and gives corresponding schematic diagrams. This standard replaces GB/T3730.1—1988 from the date of implementation. Appendix A and Appendix B of this standard are both informative appendices. This standard was proposed by the State Bureau of Machinery Industry. This standard is under the jurisdiction of the National Technical Committee for Automobile Standardization. The drafting unit of this standard is China Automotive Technology Research Center. The main drafters of this standard are Liu Yanrong, Wu Wei, Zhao Jingwei and Liu Xianghai. This standard was first issued in June 1983 and revised for the first time in June 1988. 1 Scope

-A combination of a truck and a drawbar truck trailer; the load is placed inseparably on the tractor and trailer over the entire length of the angularly movable cargo-carrying flatbed. Auxiliary devices can be used to support this load. This load and/or its support constitutes the coupling of the two vehicles, so that no further steering coupling of the trailer is permitted
