Offshore Oil and Gas Industry Standard of the People's Republic of China Naming Practice for Offshore Oil and Gas Wells
The Recommended Practice for Naming Offshore oil & Gas Well Name 1 Scope
This standard specifies the naming practice for offshore drilling wells drilled for oil and gas exploration and development. This standard applies to the naming of offshore oil and gas exploration wells and development wells. 2 Naming principles
SY/T10012—1998
2.1 Offshore drilling well names adopt a multi-level naming method, which consists of three parts: structure name, block number and well number. The order of well names should be the name of the area where the well is located, the block sequence number, the structure number, the wellhead platform number of the well type, the well number and the special well name. 2.2 The symbols of offshore drilling well names adopt the combination of the abbreviation of the Chinese pinyin and the number. Two Chinese pinyin initials are used, and no more than four are allowed.
2.3 The symbols of well names in the same sea area cannot be repeated. When the pinyin initials of the area block are repeated, they will be adjusted in accordance with the principle of respecting history and facilitating use. The order of adjustment is:
a) those that have not been drilled;
b) those that have been drilled less;
e) those that have been drilled but have not yet made major discoveries. The names of structures and wells in blocks that have been tendered and cooperated with others cannot be adjusted. 3. Names and numbers of quadratic zones, quadratic blocks, and structures (oil and gas fields) 3.1 Quadratic zones and their names
3.1.1 The latitude and longitude zone numbering method is adopted, with longitude 1° and latitude 1° forming the basic quadratic zone unit. 3.1.2 The naming is carried out in accordance with the provisions of the "Division Map of Petroleum and Natural Gas Exploration and Production Blocks of the People's Republic of China" compiled by the Petroleum and Natural Gas Resources Management Office of the former Ministry of Energy in April 1989 (see Figures 1, 2, and 3 for details. The actual naming is: a) The longitude and latitude of the upper left corner of each azimuth area are used as the number of the azimuth area, such as the azimuth area of 118-119° east longitude and 38°-39° north latitude is represented as 118/39 and marked in the 21st and 22nd blocks of the azimuth area: b) The Chinese name and code of each azimuth area in the block division map (such as Suizhong SZ\) are marked in the 15th and 16th blocks of each azimuth area.
3.1.3 The name of each azimuth area uses the first two capital letters of the Chinese phonetic abbreviation as symbols. If the initials of the pinyin abbreviations of the Fangdu District are repeated, three to four pinyin letters can be used to distinguish them by the following method: a) The initials of the abbreviations of the Fangdu Districts in the same sea area cannot be repeated. If repeated, the initials of the abbreviations of one of the repeated Fangdu Districts should be adjusted according to the requirements of 23, and the names of the Fangdu Districts should be changed or one pinyin letter should be added to the double-letter Chinese characters to distinguish them. For example, the original code of Fangdu District 121/36 was Jiaonan (JN), which was repeated with the code of Jianggongning (JN) 125/32. The code of Jiaonan (JN) of Fangdu District 121/36 was changed to the pinyin code of Wulian (WL); for example, the code of Fangdu District 110/13 Bisheng (BS) was repeated with the code of Fangdu District 109/20 Baisha (BS), the code of Bisheng Fangdu District was increased by one letter, so that BS became BIS; b) The initials of the abbreviations of Fangdu Districts in different sea areas can be repeated. When entering the database of well names, add the sea area code before the area name code (China National Offshore Oil Corporation approved on November 18, 1998, implemented on March 1, 1999
SY/T10012-1998
) to distinguish. The codes for each sea area are: Bohai is B, the Yellow Sea is II, the northern part of the South China Sea is NE, and the western part of the South China Sea is VW. For example, the code BLD is used when the Dalian area is entered into the database, and the code NWLD is used for the eastern area of the South China Sea; e) The Chinese phonetic spelling and abbreviation codes for the names of each area are specified in Appendix A3.2 Block numbering
Take 10° longitude and 10° latitude as units. Each area is divided into 36 blocks. The order of numbering is from west to east and north to south. For example, Ledong 22 is a block numbered 22 in the Ledong area, see Figure 4. 3.3 Structure and gas field naming
3.3.1 If there are multiple structures in a block, they shall be numbered in the order from west to east and from north to south. Once the number is determined, it shall not be changed at will. SZ36-1 is the first structure in the 36th block of Suizhong District. The structures discovered later shall be named in the order of discovery.
3.3.2 When a structure spans more than two blocks, the name of the structure shall be named after the block number where the main part of the structure is located. 3.3.3 The name of the oil (gas) field is the name of the structure. 4 Naming of drilling wells
Naming of offshore drilling wells 1 It consists of two parts: well type, well number and special well name. 4.1 Well type
Offshore drilling wells are divided into two categories: exploration wells and development wells. The well names can be used to distinguish them: 4.1.1 Exploratory wells (Offshone exploratory wells) are named according to the drilling design number, which is composed of the structure number followed by the exploration well number. For example, QHD32-6-1 is the first exploration well of QHID32-6 structure. In addition, it should be noted that: a) vertical wells are no longer marked; b) if it is a deviated well, add lowercase English letters d after its well number; c) if it is a horizontal well, add lowercase English letters he after its well number. 4.1.2 Development wells (Offshore development well) are divided into the following two situations: a) For development wells with production platforms, add the offshore platform number after the structure number and then the development well number. The well platform number is named according to the development plan design. It is indicated by uppercase English letters A, BC, and D (except S). In addition to the original development plan, the platform added later is named according to the order of investment time: b) For development wells without production platforms, add uppercase English letters "s" after the structure number and before the well number, such as 1D22-1-S1, which represents an underwater gas production well in I.D22-1 month.
4.3 Naming of special wells
The naming of special wells at sea is to use different lowercase English letters after the well number to represent different special well numbers. 4.3.1 Sidedrilling wells (Sidle: Irack well) Sidedrilling wells are named by adding capital English letters \s\ and lowercase English letters a, b, c... after the original well number in the order of sidedrilling to form Sa, Sb, Sc, etc. For example, WZL-3-5Sd is the fourth sidedrilling well of WZ10-3-5 well. 4.3.2 Multi-bottom wells are named by adding capital letters "M" after the original production well number, and configuring lowercase letters a, h, etc., to form a, Mb, Mc, etc. For example, QH32-6-B3Mh is the second multi-bottom well of QHD32-6 oil platform B well 3. 4.3.3 Re-drilling wells After an offshore well is scrapped due to engineering reasons, it is re-drilled nearby. This type of well is named by adding capital letters "R" after the original well number, and configuring lowercase letters ah, etc., to form Ra, Rb, Re, etc. For example, LD30-1-1Ra well is the first well drilled next to IJ30-1-1 after it was scrapped. 4.3.4 Source water well and source gas well 2
SY/T 10012—1998
8) The water source well is named by adding the lowercase English letter "w" to the lower right of its well number, such as OHD32--DIw is the first water source well of the D platform of OHD32-6 oil field.
b) The gas source well is named by adding the lowercase English letter "g" to the lower right of its well number. For example: SZ36-1-D2g is the second gas injection well of the D platform of SZ36-1 oil field;
) The water source well and gas source well in the same oil (gas) reservoir are both development wells. Editor
