This standard was first issued in 1981. 1 Scope National Standard of the People's Republic of China Determination of urea Determination of water insolution matter content-Weight method This standard specifies the determination of water insoluble matter content in urea by weight method. GB/T 2441. 6-2001 Replaces GB/T2447..1991 This standard applies to the determination of water insoluble matter content in industrial urea synthesized from ammonia and carbon dioxide. 2 Method Summary Use a glass crucible filter to filter the urea aqueous solution under reduced pressure, and the residue is expressed as the amount of water insoluble matter. 3 Instruments General laboratory instruments and 3.1 Glass crucible filter, No. 4 (pore size 4μm~16um). Volume 30mL; 3.2 Constant temperature drying oven; 3.3 Water bath. 4 Analysis steps Weigh about 50g of laboratory sample (accurate to 0.05g), and dissolve the sample in 150~200mL of water. Keep the solution in a 90℃ water bath for 30min, and immediately filter it under reduced pressure while hot using a No. 4 glass filter that has been weighed to a constant weight, wash the filter residue with hot water for 3~5 times, using about 15mL each time, remove the filter, and dry it in a constant temperature drying oven at 105℃~110C to a constant weight. 5 Description of analytical results The water-insoluble content (X) in the sample is expressed as mass fraction (%) and is calculated as follows: X = m × 100 Wherein: m is the mass of the residue after drying·g; m---the mass of the sample, g. Take the arithmetic mean of the parallel determination results as the determination result, and express the result to four decimal places. 6 Allowable difference The absolute difference of the parallel determination results shall not exceed 0.0050%.
