Some standard content:

National Standard of the People's Republic of China
Brass ingots for casting
This standard applies to brass ingots for casting used in the manufacture of copper alloy castings. 1 Technical requirements
The grade and chemical composition of the ingots shall comply with the provisions in the table. 1.1
1.2 The shape and specifications of the ingots shall comply with the provisions of the following figure. 15
1.3 The surface of the ingots shall be clean and free of flash and burrs, but slight shrinkage cracks during casting are allowed. 1.4 The fracture structure of the ingots shall be dense and free of slag and inclusions. UDC 669. 35: 5:621

GB 8737 .-88
1.5 If the purchaser has special requirements for the chemical composition, shape and specifications of the ingot, the supply and demand parties shall agree on it separately. 2 Test method
The arbitration analysis method of the chemical composition of the ingot shall be carried out in accordance with GB5122.【~5122.20--85 "Yellow Chemical Analysis Method". 2.1
2.2 The chemical composition can only analyze the main components, and the impurities shall be analyzed regularly, but it must be guaranteed to meet the requirements of this standard. 2.3 The surface quality shall be checked with the naked eye.
2.4 Fracture structure inspection One ingot can be randomly selected from each batch of ingots, and it can be cut from the bottom to 1/2 of the ingot thickness, and inspected with the naked eye. 3 Inspection rules
3.1 Inspection and acceptance
3.1.1 The ingot shall be inspected by the supplier's technical supervision department to ensure that the product quality meets the requirements of this standard and fill in the quality certificate. 3.1.2 The purchaser may inspect the received products. If the inspection results do not meet the requirements of this standard, it shall be reported to the supplier within one month after receiving the product, and the supply and demand parties shall negotiate to resolve the problem. If arbitration is required, the supply and demand parties shall take samples at the purchaser's place. 3.1.3 If the surface quality of the ingot does not meet the requirements of Article 1.3 of this standard, the chain shall be unqualified. 3.2 Correction
Products shall be submitted for acceptance in batches, and each batch shall consist of the same furnace number. It can also be composed of multiple furnaces upon agreement between the supply and demand parties. Approved by China National Nonferrous Metals Industry Corporation on February 4, 1988 and implemented on February 1, 1989

3.3 Sampling rules
GB8737-88
The sample for arbitration analysis is to take any one ingot from the batch of ingots and The points are obtained by drilling along the diagonal of the surface, with the point in the middle and the other two points 100mm away from the end points. The drilling depth is 2/3 of the ingot thickness. The drill cuttings are mixed. 3.4 Repeated test
When the test results of chemical composition and fracture structure do not meet the requirements of this standard, double samples shall be taken for re-inspection of the items that do not meet the requirements of this standard in the batch of products. If there are still · results that do not meet the requirements of this standard after re-inspection, the batch of products shall be unqualified. 4 Marking, packaging, transportation, storage and quality certificate Each ingot shall be marked with brand and furnace number.
Ingots are supplied in bulk. Upon agreement between the supply and demand parties, the ingots can also be bundled and packaged and stacked according to brand. and transportation, and no mixing of numbers is allowed. Ingots must be accompanied by a quality certificate, which shall indicate: supplier name or code; product name, brand and registered trademark; chemical composition analysis results and technical supervision department stamp; batch or furnace number: weight of each batch or furnace; standard number; product (issue) date. Additional remarks: This standard was drafted by Nanjing Ferroalloy Factory, and the main drafter of this standard was Li Gongqin. From the date of implementation of this standard, the original standard YB78375 "Casting Brass Ingots" of the Ministry of Metallurgy Industry will be invalid.
