This standard replaces GB/T4250-1984 "Technical Conditions for Taper Reamers" from the date of implementation. The main changes of this standard compared with GB/T4250-1984 are as follows: - The performance test part in GB/T4250-1984 is cancelled; the material of reamer in GB/T4250-1984 is modified; the marking and packaging part in GB/T4250-1984 is modified; surface roughness is added.

1 Scope

This standard specifies the basic requirements for the position tolerance, material and hardness, appearance and surface roughness, marking and packaging of the conical reamer. This standard applies to the Morse taper and metric taper reamers produced in accordance with GB/T1139. 2 Normative references

The position tolerance of the reamer is shown in Table 1.

4.1 Materials

The reamer is made of W6Mo5Cr4V2 or other grades of high-speed steel with equivalent performance, and can also be made of 9SiCr or other alloy tool steels with equivalent performance. The handle of the welding reamer is made of 45 steel or other grades of steel with equivalent performance. 4.2 Hardness

High-speed steel reamer: hardness is 63HRC~66HRC; alloy tool steel reamer: hardness is 62HRC~65HRC. 4.2.2 Square head or flat tail of the shank:
Integral reamer: hardness is 40HRC~55HRC; welded reamer: hardness is 30HRC~45HRC. 5 Appearance and surface roughness
5.1 Appearance
The reamer surface shall not have defects such as cracks, scratches, rust and grinding burns that affect the performance. 5.2 Surface roughness
Upper limit of surface roughness:
Front, conical land: Rz3.2um;
Rear: Rz6.3μmz
-Cylindrical shank: Ral.6μm;

6 Marking and packaging
6.1 Marking
6.1.1 The product should be marked with:
The trademark of the manufacturer or seller;
The cone code (for example: metric 4);
The material code (HSS is for high-speed steel, and no mark is required for alloy tool steel). 6. 1.2
The packaging box should be marked with:
The name, address and trademark of the manufacturer or seller; the product name, cone code, standard number; material brand or code;
The number of pieces;
The year and month of manufacturing.
2 Packaging
The reamer should be treated with rust prevention before packaging, and the packaging must be firm to prevent damage during transportation. 2
