The previous versions of the standards replaced by this standard are: LS/T6116—2016. 1 Scope Classification and determination of rice grain types LS/T6116-—2017 This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification, determination rules and inspection methods for the classification and inspection methods of rice grain types. This standard applies to rice, brown rice and glutinous rice. Normative references The following documents are indispensable for the application of this document. For all dated references, only the dated versions apply to this document. For all undated references, the latest versions (including all amendments) apply to this document. GB1354 RiceWww.bzxZ.net GB5491 Grain and oil inspection sampling and subsampling method 5 Grain and oil inspection inspection method for grain type GB/T24535 Terms and definitions The following terms and definitions apply to this document. 3.1 Husked rice The product after rice is husked. Milled rice: white rice The general term for the finished grain obtained by husking and milling rice. 3.3 Long grain rice Rice that meets the requirements of long grain rice in Table 1 generally corresponds to the grain type of glazed rice and glazed polished rice in GB1354. 3.4 medium to short grain rice Medium to short grain rice Rice that meets the requirements of medium to short grain rice in Table 1 generally corresponds to the grain types of stalked rice and stalked glutinous rice in GB1354. 3.5 the kernel length The maximum distance between the two ends of a complete and undamaged rice grain, expressed as the average grain length of 6g to 10g samples. 3.6 the kernel width The maximum distance between the dorsal and ventral sides of a complete and undamaged rice grain, expressed as the average grain width of 6g to 10g samples. 3.7 kernellength/widthratio The ratio of the length to width of a complete and undamaged rice kernel, expressed as the average value of the kernel length/width ratio of 6g to 10g samplesLS/T6116—2017 4 Classification Rice is divided into long-grain rice and medium-short-grain rice according to its kernel length and length-width ratio. The two different grain types of rice should comply with the requirements of Table 1. After brown rice is ground into rice of grade 3 according to the processing accuracy of GB1354, the grain type classification should comply with the requirements of Table 1. Table 1 Grain type classification requirements Long grain rice Medium and short grain rice Test method Grain length/mm Grain length and length-to-width ratio shall be determined according to the method specified in Appendix A 6 Judgment rules Long grain rice If one of the grain length and length-to-width ratio meets the requirements of Table 1 "Long grain rice", it shall be determined as long grain rice. Medium and short grain rice If both the grain length and length-to-width ratio meet the requirements of Table 1 "Medium and short grain", it shall be determined as medium and short grain rice. 2 Length-to-width ratio A.1 Image analysis method Instruments and equipment Appendix A (Normative Appendix) Determination of grain length and length-to-width ratio of rice and brown rice LS/T6116—20 17 A.1.1.1 Broken rice sorter: It has the function of separating intact rice from broken rice. The sample amount is 10g~20gA.1.1.2 Vernier caliper: The accuracy is 0.02mm. A.1.1.3 Rice appearance quality tester: It has the function of image acquisition and analysis, and can automatically calculate the grain length, grain width and average length-to-width ratio of rice. The measurement error of the average length of the grain type does not exceed 0.1mm. The error detection method is as follows: Randomly select 10 intact rice grains, put them into the rice appearance quality tester, and use the instrument to measure the average length of the rice grains once, and repeat the measurement twice; then use a vernier caliper to measure the length of the same rice grains one by one, calculate the average length of the 10 rice grains, and repeat the measurement twice. Calculate the average of the two instrument test results and the average of the two vernier caliper test results as the test results of the instrument and the vernier caliper respectively Calculate the difference between the instrument and vernier caliper measurement results. 2 Working principle Place the sample to be tested on the image acquisition device. The instrument automatically collects the sample appearance image and converts it into recognizable image data. The image analysis system performs data processing and judgment analysis to calculate the average grain length and average aspect ratio of the sample. A.1.3 Determination steps A.1.3.1 Sample the rice according to GB5491 to obtain about 10g of sample, manually pick out impurities, and use a broken rice sorter to separate the intact and undamaged rice to ensure that its mass is not less than 6g; if it is a brown rice sample, first use an experimental rice mill to process it into a sample that meets the requirements. After the third-grade rice in accordance with GB1354 is obtained, the above method is followed. A.1.3.2 Start the rice appearance quality detector according to the instrument manual and put it in the measuring state. A.1.3.3 Place the sample to be tested (A.1.3.1) in the image acquisition device and operate according to the instrument manual. The image analysis system automatically analyzes and determines the image information of the sample and calculates the average grain length (L) and average aspect ratio (D) of the whole batch of samples. A.1.3.4 Enter the grain shape analysis interface to check whether the judgment of intact and undamaged rice is wrong. If necessary, the manual judgment function can be used on the software interface to assist in selecting grains that do not meet the requirements of intact and undamaged rice, and recalculate and confirm that the grain shape detection results of intact and undamaged rice are correct. The sample is tested in pairs at the same time. Result representation A.1.4.1 Average grain length Calculation is shown in formula (A.1): ...(A.1) Where: L-average grain length of the sample, in millimeters (mm); LS/T6116-2017 length of a single rice grain, in millimeters (mm); the number of intact and undamaged rice grains actually detected. The measurement result is retained to one decimal place. If the double test results meet the repeatability requirements, the average value of the double test results is calculated to express the measurement result. Average length-to-width ratio Calculation is shown in formula (A.2): Where: Average length-to-width ratio of the sample; length of a single rice grain, in millimeters (mm); width of a single rice grain, in millimeters (mm); the number of intact and undamaged rice grains actually detected. 1 small ...(A.2) The measurement result is retained to one decimal place. If the double test results meet the repeatability requirements, the average value of the double test results is calculated to express the measurement result. Repeatability The allowable error of double test results shall not exceed 0.1mm. A.2 Manual measurement method A.2.1 Sample division Perform according to A.1.3.1. A.2.2 Determination Perform according to the manual measurement method of GB/T24535. A.2.3 Result calculation Perform according to A.1.4.
