JB/T4371.2-2002
JB/T4371 "Three-jaw drill chuck without wrench" is divided into two parts: Part 1 Parameters and accuracy test:
Part 2 Technical conditions.
This part is the second part of JB/T4371.
This part replaces JB/T4371.3-1999 "Technical conditions for self-tightening drill chucks". Compared with JB/T4371.3-1999, the main changes of this part are as follows: the requirements for hand-tightening drill chucks are added;
Inspection rules are added.
This part is proposed by the China Machinery Industry Federation. This part is under the jurisdiction of the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Metal Cutting Machine Tools. The responsible drafting unit of this part is Yantai Machine Tool Accessories Research Institute. The participating drafting units of this part are Shandong Yuguang Machinery Corporation, Shanxi Huifeng Machinery Factory, Linyi Shengxin Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd., Shandong Machine Tool Accessories Factory.
The main drafters of this part are Shi Shuqing, Yin Ruiguo, Su Lihang, Ren Shuchun, and Zhang Qiquan. This part was first issued in 1986 and revised for the first time in 1999. II

JB/T4371.2—2002
This part of JB/T4371 specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging and storage and transportation of wrenchless three-jaw self-tightening drill chucks (referred to as self-tightening drill chucks) and wrenchless three-jaw hand-tightening drill chucks (referred to as hand-tightening drill chucks). This part applies to self-tightening drill chucks for taper or threaded hole connection and hand-tightening drill chucks for threaded hole connection. 2 Normative references
The clauses in the following documents become the clauses of this part through reference to this part of JB/T4371. All subsequent amendments (excluding errata) or revisions of dated references are not applicable to this part, but parties reaching an agreement based on this part are encouraged to study whether the latest versions of these documents can be used. For undated references, the latest versions apply to this part.
JB/T3207 General technical conditions for packaging of machine tool accessories JB/T4371.1-2002 Wrenchless three-jaw drill chuck Part 1: Parameters and accuracy inspection JB/T5563 Inspection and evaluation of conical surface of metal cutting machine tools by color coating method JB/T9935 Preparation of random technical documents of machine tool accessories 3 Requirements
3.1 The main parts of drill chucks should be made of high-quality steel, and the main working surfaces should be heat-treated and hardened. The hardness of the main body, jaw seat and ball cover of the self-tightening drill chuck shall not be less than 48HRC, the hardness of the jaw shall not be less than 58HRC, and the hardness of the end cover and locking screw shall not be less than 42HRC.
b) The hardness of the jaw edge and nut of the hand-tightened drill chuck shall not be less than 48HRC, and the hardness of the nut made of sintered steel shall not be less than 35HRC. 3.2 When the taper hole of the drill chuck is tested by the coloring method with a gauge, the contact should be close to the large end, and the contact ratio of the actual contact length to the working length should not be less than 65%.
3.3 The movement of the jaws of the drill chuck should be flexible, stable, and evenly stressed without jamming. 3.4 The outer surface of the drill chuck shall not have defects such as sharp angles, burrs, scratches, bumps and rust. The markings should be clear and durable, and the position should be correct. The color of the surface-treated parts should be uniform. 3.5 Drill chuck clamping torque test: when the specified minimum output torque is reached, the test rod shall not slip, and the drill chuck shall not be damaged or abnormal. The torque requirements for self-tightening drill chucks are shown in Table 1: the torque requirements for hand-tightening drill chucks are shown in Table 2. 4 Test method
Table 2 Torque requirements for hand-tightened drill chucks
4.1 Color coating method for contact inspection on tapered hole surface Use a special gauge for drill chucks for joint research and inspection. Apply red lead mixed paint or other suitable paint evenly on the surface of the gauge. The coating thickness is less than 4um. The contact meets the requirements of 3.2. Other requirements for inspection and assessment are in accordance with JB/T5563. 4.2 Clamping and torque control test The drill head taper hole or threaded hole and end face are positioned and fixed on the mandrel. The clamping jaws clamp the test rod. Self-tightening drill chucks are tested with the output torque specified in Table 2. Hand-tightened drill chucks are clamped with the input torque specified in Table 2, and the output torque specified in Table 2 is applied to the test rod for testing, see Figure 1.
Figure 1 Output torque test
The test drop test has a hardness of not less than 55HRC and a surface roughness R value of not more than 1.6um. For batch-produced products, sampling inspection can be carried out when the quality is stable. 5 Inspection rules
Drill chuck products must be inspected and qualified by the quality inspection department of the manufacturer before leaving the factory, and a certificate of qualification must be attached. 5.1
The factory inspection items include the contents of 3.2 to 3.4, Chapter 6 of this part and Chapter 5, Chapter 7 and Chapter 9 of JB/T4371.1-2002. 5.2 Type inspection should be carried out in any of the following cases: a) When new products are tested for type identification:
b) When materials, structures and processes are greatly changed during normal production, which may affect product performance c) When the product is resumed after a long period of suspension: When the enterprise conducts regular quality inspections or the superior quality supervision agency proposes a type test requirement: d)
Type test includes all the contents of JB/T4371.1 and this part. 6
Packaging and storage and transportation
Product packaging should comply with the provisions of JB/T3207. Technical documents that comply with the provisions of JB/T9935 are provided randomly. 6.3 Products should be stored in a dry, ventilated environment without corrosive gases. Products should be protected from moisture and rust during transportation, and prevented from rough loading and unloading. 6.4
