Retail product codes are a unified whole and should be used as a whole in the product flow. When compiling retail product codes, the following basic principles should be observed.
4.2.1 Uniqueness principle
4.2.1.1 Similar products are assigned the same product code, and products with similar basic characteristics are considered to be the same product. 4.2.1.2 Different products should be assigned different product codes, and products with different basic characteristics are considered to be the same product. Note: Under normal circumstances, the basic characteristics of a product include product name, trademark, type, specification, quantity, packaging type and other product characteristics. Enterprises should assign unique product codes to products based on the product characteristics of the industry and their own product management requirements. 2
.- . .
4.2.2 Non-meaningful principle
The commodity item code in the retail commodity code does not indicate any specific information related to the commodity. 4.2.3 Stability principle
The commodity code should remain unchanged if the basic characteristics of the commodity have not changed. 4.3 Code compilation
4.3.1 Compilation of codes for retail commodities in separate packages GB 12904---2008
Single retail commodity in separate packages refers to retail commodities in separate, indivisible separate packages. The compilation of the product code generally adopts the 13-digit code structure specified in 4.1.1. When the product packaging is very small and meets any of the following three conditions, the 8-digit code structure specified in 4.1.2 shall be adopted: - the printing area of the bar code symbol of the 13-digit code exceeds one-fourth of the maximum surface area of the product label or one-eighth of the total printing area;
- the maximum surface area of the product label is less than 40u or the total printable area is less than 80cm2; - the diameter of the product itself is less than 3 cm 4.3.2 Preparation of retail commodity codes for combination packages 4.3.2.1 Preparation of retail commodity codes for standard combination packages The component commodities of standard combination packages refer to the commodities that are a standard and stable combination package composed of multiple identical individual commodities. The preparation of the commodity code generally adopts a 13-digit code structure and should not be the same as the code of the individual commodity contained in the package. 4.3.2.2 Preparation of retail commodity codes for mixed combination packages The retail commodity of mixed combination packages refers to the commodities that are a standard and stable combination package composed of multiple different individual commodities. The preparation of the commodity code generally adopts a 13-digit code structure, but should not be the same as the code of the commodity contained in the package. 4.3.3 Preparation of retail commodity codes for variable variables
The code of the variable component commodity is used as the commodity consumption unit within the store or in a closed system. The selection of its commodity code is shown in (3/T18283.5 Barcode representation
5.1 Code system
The barcode representation of the component commodity code adopts ISO/ EAN/UPC barcode system defined in IEC15420, EAN/UPC barcode has EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A, UPC-E structure, UPC-A, UPC-E barcode structure see Appendix C. EAN/UPC barcode system identifier Appendix ID:

6.1 Dimensions
6.1.1 Module width (x dimension)
The module is the smallest unit of the barcode symbol. When the magnification factor is 1.OC, the module width of the EAN/LPC barcode is 0.330mm.
6.1.2 Barcode character space dimensions
When the magnification factor is 1.00, the dimensions of each part of the EAN/UPC barcode character set are shown in Figure 10. The bar width of barcode characters 1, 2, 7, and 8 should be appropriately adjusted, and the adjustment amount is 1/13 of a module width. See Table 5. The allowable deviation of EAN/UPC barcode character dimensions is shown in F1
A
The left example shows that the width of the blank area of the bar code characters 1., 2., 7, 8 has been appropriately adjusted.

6.1.3 Blank area width
Table 6 Bar code characters 1, 2, 7, 8 When the adjustment amount of the bar width is A, B or C and the magnification factor is 1.0c, the minimum width of the blank area on the right side of the EAN13 barcode is 3.63mm and 2.31mm respectively, and the minimum width of the blank area on the right side of the EAN-8 barcode is 2.31mm. 6.1.4 Size of start character, middle separator and end character When the magnification factor is 1.00, the size of the start character, middle separator and end character of EAN bar code is shown in Figure 11. The size of the start character, middle separator and end character of EAN bar code is shown in Figure 11. The size of the start character, middle separator and end character of EAN bar code is shown in Figure 12. 6.1.5 Size of characters for human identification When the magnification factor is 1.00, the height of characters for human identification is 2.75mm. 6.1.6 Symbol size of EAN-13 product bar code When the magnification factor is 1.00, the symbol size of EAN-13 bar code is shown in Figure 12. 6.1.7 FAN-8 Barcode symbol size
When the magnification factor is 1.00, the size of the EAN-8 barcode is shown in Figure 13. 6.1.8 Symbol size and magnification factor
The magnification factor of FAN/TJPC barcodes is 0.80~2.00. The barcode symbol simplifies or shrinks with the change of the magnification factor. Since the short bar height will affect the reading of the barcode derivative, it is not advisable to shorten the bar height arbitrarily. The module width corresponding to different magnification factors and the main size of the AN barcode are shown in the table? (Add a column of barcode length), 0
