3 Model designation rules
The model of a turning tool or tool holder consists of a group of letters and numbers arranged in a specified order, with a total of ten codes, which represent their various characteristics.
The first code uses a letter to represent the clamping method of the blade on the turning tool or tool holder (see 4.1); the second code uses a letter to represent the shape of the blade on the turning tool or tool holder (see 4.2); the third code uses a letter to represent the head form of the turning tool or tool holder (see 4.3); the fourth code uses a letter to represent the size of the back angle of the blade on the turning tool or tool holder (See 4.4); the fifth digit is a letter indicating the cutting direction of the tool or tool holder (see 4.5); the sixth digit is a two-digit code indicating the height of the tool or tool holder (see 4.6); the seventh digit is a two-digit code indicating the width of the tool shank or two letters indicating the type of tool holder (see 4.7); the eighth digit is the symbol "_\ or a letter indicating the length of the tool or tool holder (see 4.8); the ninth digit is a two-digit code indicating the side length of the blade on the tool or tool holder (see 4.9); the tenth digit is a letter indicating the precision turning tool of different measurement bases (see 4.10). 3.2 The first nine digits must be used for any turning tool or tool holder model. The tenth digit is only used for precision turning tools that meet the requirements of 1.10 of this standard.

4 Code regulations
GB/T 5343.1-93
The code indicating the blade tightening method shall be in accordance with the provisions of Table 1. Table 1
4.2 The code indicating the blade shape shall be in accordance with the provisions of GB2076. 4.3 The code indicating the clamping part form shall be in accordance with the provisions of Table 2. Clamping method for bladeswwW.bzxz.Net
When installing a blade without a hole, clamp the blade from the top of the blade. For example, when installing a round hole blade with a pressure plate, tighten the blade from the top of the blade and use the blade hole: For example, when installing a round hole blade with a wedge
When installing a round hole blade, tighten the blade with the blade hole. For example, when installing a lever type, an eccentric type, a pull pad type, etc.
When installing a countersunk blade, the screw directly passes through the blade hole to tighten the blade. Such as pressed hole type

4.5 The code indicating the cutting direction shall comply with the following provisions. R: right cutting; L: left cutting; N: both left and right cutting. 4.6 The codes for indicating height shall be in accordance with the following provisions. 4.6.1 Turning tool height
When the tool tip height is equal to the tool bar height, the tool bar height value shall be used as the code. For example: for a turning tool with a tool bar height of 25mm, the sixth digit code is 25. If the height value is less than two digits, add "" before the number, for example: when the tool bar height is 8mm, the sixth digit code is 08.
4.6.2 Tool height
When the tool tip height is not equal to the tool bar height, the tool tip height value shall be used as the code. For example: for a tool holder with a tool tip height of 12mm, the sixth digit code is 12. If the height value is less than two digits, add o\ before the number, for example: for a tool holder with a tool tip height of 8mim, the sixth digit code is 08.
4.7 The code for width is as follows: 4.7.1 For turning tools, the code is the value of the tool bar width. For example: For a turning tool with a tool bar width of 20 mm, the seventh digit code is 20. If the width value is less than two digits, add "_" before the number. For example: if the shank width is 8mm, the seventh digit code is 08. 4.7.2 For tool holders, a two-letter code is used instead of the width. The first letter is always C (tool holder), and the second letter indicates the type of tool holder. For example: for tool holders that meet the requirements of GB/T14661, the second letter is A. 4.8 The codes for length are as follows. 4.8.1 Tool length
For turning tools whose length meets the requirements of the medium and long tool holder series of GB/T5343.2, the eighth digit code is represented by the symbol "_". For turning tools whose length does not meet the requirements of the medium and long tool holder series of GB/T5343.2, the eighth digit code is represented by the symbols specified in Table 3. 4.8.2 Tool holder length
For tool holders whose length meets the requirements of GB/T14661, the eighth digit code is represented by the symbol "_". For tools whose length does not conform to the provisions of GB/T14661, the eighth digit code shall be indicated in accordance with the provisions of Table 3. Table 3
4.9 The code for the blade edge length shall be in accordance with the provisions of GB2076. D
4.10 The code for precision turning tools with different measurement standards shall be in accordance with the provisions of Table 4. E
