QB/T 2410-1998 Evaluation method of sunscreen effect of sunscreen cosmetics in UVB region - Ultraviolet absorbance method
Basic Information
Standard ID:
QB/T 2410-1998
Standard Name: Evaluation method of sunscreen effect of sunscreen cosmetics in UVB region - Ultraviolet absorbance method
This standard specifies the test method and evaluation standard for evaluating the UV absorbance of sunscreen cosmetics in the UVB region. This standard is applicable to the test and evaluation of the sunscreen effect of viscous products such as creams and lotions in skin care sunscreen cosmetics. It is not applicable to the test and evaluation of the sunscreen effect of beauty cosmetics. QB/T2410—1998 For the research on the sunscreen performance of sunscreen cosmetics, foreign countries began in the 1970s. There are evaluation methods using human, animal and instrumental measurements. Some countries have also listed these methods as national standards or regulations. In recent years, some units in my country have also conducted research in this area, but no unified method standard has been formed. In order to promote the development of my country's cosmetics industry, further standardize the management of the sunscreen cosmetics market and align with relevant international standards and regulations, this method standard has been formulated according to my country's national conditions to evaluate the sunscreen performance and effect of sunscreen cosmetics. This standard is based on the principle that ultraviolet absorbers and ultraviolet screens in sunscreen cosmetics can absorb and block ultraviolet rays in sunlight. It assumes that quartz cells and medical breathable tapes are biological materials such as stratum corneum and epidermis, and sunscreen cosmetics are directly and evenly applied on them to simulate the process of people applying cosmetics on the skin. Using an ordinary ultraviolet spectrophotometer as an ultraviolet light source, the ultraviolet absorbance A value of the sample in the UVB region (280nm~320nm) is measured. By comparing the absorbance of the sample, the protective effect of the sample on the ultraviolet UVB region is judged. Due to the difference in definition concepts, the evaluation method of this standard should not be used for the determination of product SPF value. This standard was proposed by the Industry Management Department of the State Bureau of Light Industry. This standard is under the jurisdiction of the National Cosmetics Standardization Center. The drafting unit of this standard is Beijing Daily Chemical Research Institute. The main drafters of this standard are Du Xiaohao and Xu Wei. 111 Light Industry Industry Standard of the People's Republic of China Sunscreen Cosmetics Evaluation Method of Sunscreen Effect in UVB Area Ultraviolet Absorbance Method QB/T 2410--1998 This standard specifies the test method and evaluation standard for ultraviolet absorbance for evaluating the sunscreen effect of sunscreen cosmetics in the UVB area. This standard is applicable to the test and evaluation of the sunscreen effect of viscous products such as creams and lotions in skin care sunscreen cosmetics. It is not applicable to the test and evaluation of the sunscreen effect of beauty cosmetics. 2 Principle Based on the principle that the UV absorber and UV shielding agent in sunscreen cosmetics can absorb and block the UV rays in the sun, quartz cell and medical breathable tape are assumed to be biological materials such as stratum corneum and epidermis, and sunscreen cosmetics are evenly applied on them to simulate the process of applying cosmetics on the skin. Use an ordinary UV spectrophotometer as a UV light source to measure the UV absorbance A value of the sample in the UVB region (280nm~320nm), and look up the table to evaluate the sunscreen effect. 3 Materials Quartz cell (1.2cmX4.5cm). 3.2 Medical tape produced by 3M Company in the United States (3MTransporeTM1527-3). 4 Instruments 4.1 UV/visible spectrophotometer: double beam scanning record, wavelength range: 190nm~900nm. 4.2 Analytical balance: accuracy 0.0001g, 5 Test steps 5.1 Cut the medical latex tape produced by 3M into a rectangle of 1cm×4cm, and stick the adhesive side on the surface of the light-transmitting side of the quartz cell. 5.2 Turn on the power of the UV spectrophotometer and preheat it, and set the detection wavelength: 280, 290, 300.310, 320nm. 5.3 Place the quartz cell with tape in the sample light path and reference light path, and adjust the instrument zero point. 5.4 Use a glass rod to take the cosmetic sample on the surface of the quartz cell with tape, accurately weigh (8±0.2) mg, put on the medical latex finger cot, and evenly apply the sample. Weigh five parallel samples. 5.5 Place the absorption cell with the sample applied at room temperature for 30 minutes before testing. 5.6 Place the sample pool to be tested in the sample light path, and another quartz pool with tape on it in the reference light path, and measure the ultraviolet absorbance values A at five wavelengths of 280, 290, 300, 310, and 320 nm; and calculate the arithmetic mean of the measured values as As. 5.7 Measure five parallel samples in sequence, and calculate the arithmetic mean of A, ~ A, which is the ultraviolet absorbance A sample of the sample. Approved by the State Bureau of Light Industry on November 25, 1998 iKAoNiKAca- Implemented on June 1, 1999 Results 6.1 Calculation of test results QB/T 2410-1998 A,=(A280i+A290:+A300:+A310i+A320)/5A sample Where: A is the ultraviolet absorbance value of sample i measured at each wavelength. A is the arithmetic mean of the ultraviolet absorbance values of sample 1 measured at five wavelengths. A. A sample——is the arithmetic mean of five parallel samples A:. 6.2 Evaluation of sample test results (2) If sample A is less than 0.5, it is judged that the sunscreen effect of the sample is lower than the minimum protection effect or has no protection effect. If sample A is not less than 0.5, it is judged that the sample has a protective effect. Evaluate the sunscreen effect of sunscreen cosmetics according to the provisions of Table 1.
