This code is managed by the China Academy of Building Research, the technical unit responsible for building engineering standards of the Ministry of Construction, and the specific interpretation work is the responsibility of the Glass Research Institute of the China Academy of Building Materials Science. This code is organized and published by the Standard and Norms Research Institute of the Ministry of Construction. Engineering Construction Standard Full-text Information System Engineering Construction Standard Full-text Information System 2 Terms and Symbols 2.1 Terms 2.1.1 External installationexternalinstallation An installation method in which one or both sides of the glass are exposed to the outside of the building. 2.1.2 Internal installationinternalinstallation An installation method in which neither surface of the glass is exposed to the outside of the building. 2.1.3 Glass frameglassframe A structure made of wood, metal or other durable materials or a combination of these materials for installing glass. 2.1.4 Rabbet A part of the frame with a cross-section at a 90° angle and the edge of the glass placed inside it. 2.1.5 Groove is a part of the frame with a concave cross-section, in which the edge of the glass is placed. 2.1.6 Bedding is an installation material located in the groove, in which the glass is embedded. 2.1.7 Bead installation bead is a wooden strip, metal strip or other rigid material strip fixed on the groove to clamp the glass. 2.1.8 Location blocks is an elastic material block located between the edge of the glass and the groove to prevent the glass and the groove from moving relative to each other. 2.1.9 Setting blocks is an elastic material block located between the bottom edge of the glass and the groove to support and keep the glass in the center of the groove. 2.1.10 Distance pieces are elastic pieces of material located between the glass and the vertical surface of the groove to prevent the glass from moving due to load. 2.1.11 Gasket Specially formed material used to embed or fix glass. 2.1.12 Fronting A triangular strip of mounting material located between the glass surface and the front edge of the groove on the platform of the groove. 2.1.13 Aspect ratio aspectratio The ratio of the long side to the short side of the glass plate. 2.1.14 Span The distance between two supporting parts; for glass supported on four sides, it corresponds to the smaller value of the light transmission dimension. 2.1.15 sightline The dividing line between the light-transmitting part of the glass and the opaque part covered by the glass installation material after the glass is assembled in the frame. 2.1.16 sight size The size of the light-transmitting part after the glass is assembled. 2.1.17 Fixed door glass sidepanels Glass installed in the door frame fixed at the door opening. 2.1.18 Safety glass safeglass Refers to laminated glass that meets the provisions of national standard GB9962 and tempered glass that meets the provisions of national standard GB9963. 2.1.19 Framed glass framedpanels have supporting parts with sufficient rigidity to continuously wrap all edges of the glass. 2.1.20 Unframed glass unframedpanels When the supporting parts do not meet the requirements of framed glass, the glass is frameless glass. 2.1.21 General annealing glass general annealing glass is made by float, flat drawing, vertical drawing, no annealing, etc., and its internal stress is eliminated or reduced to the allowable value by heat treatment. 2.1.22 Exposed edges exposededges Engineering Construction Standard Full Text Information System W.bzsosO.coI Engineering Construction Standard Full Text Information System The edge of glass without supporting parts is an exposed edge, except when two pieces of glass are adjacent and connected by sealant. 2.1.23 Front clearance front clearance distance between the outer surface of the glass and the vertical surface of the front end of the bead or groove. 2.1.24 Back clearance back clearance The distance between the inner surface of the glass and the vertical surface of the rear end of the groove. 2.1.25 Edge clearance edgeclearancl The distance between the edge of the glass and the bottom of the groove. 2.1.26 Embedment depth edgecover The distance between the edge of the glass and the visible line.
