GB 3143-1982 Determination of color of liquid chemical products (Hazen unit-platinum-cobalt color number)
Basic Information
Standard ID:
GB 3143-1982
Standard Name: Determination of color of liquid chemical products (Hazen unit-platinum-cobalt color number)
This standard is applicable to the determination of the color of liquid chemical products that are transparent or have a platinum-cobalt color number close to the reference. This color characteristic is usually "brown yellow". Some standard content:
National Standard of the People's Republic of China Color determination method of liquid chemicals (Hazen unit — platinum cobalt scale) UDC661:535.65 GB/T3143-82 (Confirmed in 1990) This standard is applicable to the determination of the color of liquid chemical products that are transparent or slightly close to the reference platinum-cobalt color scale. This color characteristic is usually "brown yellow". 1 Method Overview The color of the sample is compared with the color of the standard platinum-cobalt colorimetric solution, and the result is expressed in Hazen (platinum-cobalt) color units. Hazen (platinum-cobalt) color units are: the color of a solution containing 1 mg of platinum (calculated as chloroplatinic acid) and 2 mg of cobalt chloride hexahydrate per liter of solution. 2 Instruments 2.172 type spectrophotometer or similar spectrophotometer. 2.2 Nessler colorimetric tube: 50 or 100 ml, with scale marks 100 mm above the bottom. 2.3 Colorimetric tube rack: Generally, the bottom of the colorimetric tube rack is lined with a white base plate, and a reflector can also be installed at the bottom to improve the effect of observing the color. 3 Reagents 3.1 Cobalt chloride hexahydrate (CoC12·6H,O): analytical grade. 3.2 Hydrochloric acid: analytical grade, in accordance with the requirements of GB622 "Hydrochloric acid". 3.3 Nitrogen platinic acid (H,PtCls): Preparation of chloroplatinic acid: Dissolve 1.00 g of platinum in sufficient aqua regia in a glass dish or porcelain dish using a boiling water bath. When the platinum is dissolved, evaporate the solution to dryness, add 4 ml of hydrochloric acid solution and evaporate to f, repeat this operation more than twice, so that 2.10 g of chloroplatinic acid can be obtained. 3.4 Potassium chloroplatinate (K,PtCl6); analytical grade. 4 Preparation 4.1 Preparation of standard colorimetric solution (500 Hazen units) Dissolve 1.00 g of cobalt chloride hexahydrate (CoC12·6H,O) and 1.05 g of chloroplatinic acid or 1.245 g of potassium chloroplatinate in water in a 1000 ml volumetric flask, add 100 ml of hydrochloric acid solution, dilute to the mark, and mix well. Note: The standard colorimetric mother solution can be checked by spectrophotometer with a 1 cm cuvette at the following wavelengths. The extinction value range is: Wavelength (nm) Extinction value 0.110 ~0.120 0.130 ~0.145 0.105 ~0.120 0. 055 ~ 0. 065 4.2 Preparation of standard platinum-cobalt comparison solution: In two sets of volumetric flasks, 10 500 ml and 14 250 ml, add the volume of standard colorimetric mother solution shown in the following table respectively. Issued by the National Bureau of Standards on July 20, 1982 Implementation on March 1, 1983 Dilute to the mark with distilled water and mix well. 500ml volumetric flask Volume of standard colorimetric mother solution 4.3 Storage: GB/T3143-82 Corresponding color Hazen unitbzxZ.net Platinum-cobalt color number 250ml volumetric flask Volume of standard colorimetric mother solution Corresponding color Hazen unit Platinum-cobalt color number Put the standard colorimetric mother solution and diluted solution in a stoppered brown glass bottle and place it in a dark place. The standard colorimetric mother solution can be stored for 1 year and the diluted solution can be stored for 1 month, but it is best to use freshly prepared ones. Test steps 5.1 Inject a certain amount of sample into a Nessler colorimetric tube to fill it up to the scale line. Similarly, inject a standard aluminum-cobalt comparison solution with similar color into another Nessler colorimetric tube to fill it up to the scale line. 5.2 Compare the color of the sample with that of the standard platinum-cobalt comparison solution. When comparing colors, observe from top to bottom against a white background under sunlight or fluorescent light, avoiding side observation, and propose a close color. 6 Result report The color of the sample is expressed in the Hazen (platinum-cobalt) color unit of the standard platinum-cobalt comparison solution that is closest to the sample. If the color of the sample does not match any standard platinum-cobalt comparison solution, estimate a close platinum-cobalt color number based on the possibility and describe the observed color.
