This standard applies to vanadium pentoxide in flake or powder form for metallurgy, chemical industry, etc., obtained by roasting, leaching, precipitation, decomposition and melting of vanadium slag or other vanadium-containing minerals.
1 Technical requirements
1.1 Brands and chemical composition

Vanadium pentoxide for metallurgy is delivered in flakes with a diameter of no more than 55×55mm and a thickness of no more than 5mm; vanadium pentoxide for chemical industry is delivered in natural powder after decomposition.
2 Test method
2.1 Sampling
The sampling of samples for chemical analysis shall be carried out in accordance with the method specified in Appendix A. 2.2 Sample preparation
The preparation of samples for chemical analysis shall be carried out in accordance with the method specified in Appendix B. 2.3 Chemical analysis
The analysis of vanadium pentoxide shall be carried out in accordance with the current analysis method of each manufacturer. If there is any objection, it shall be resolved through negotiation. 3 Inspection rules
3.1 The inspection and acceptance of product quality shall be carried out by the technical supervision department of the supplier, and the buyer has the right to re-inspect the product quality according to the regulations. If there is any objection, it should be raised within 30 days after arrival.
3.2 Products of the same brand can be delivered in one batch, and the batch is generally between 4 and 10 tons, or agreed by the supplier and the buyer. Approved by the Ministry of Metallurgical Industry of the People's Republic of China on July 23, 1987 and implemented on July 1, 1988

Sampling method of vanadium pentoxide

From 25% of the packages of each batch of products, shovel a number of roughly equal samples at a depth of 100-200mm below the material surface. The total weight shall not be less than 2kg, and then crush to less than 10mm, mix thoroughly and then reduce to 1kg by quartering method. A.2 Sampling of powdered vanadium pentoxide
In 25% of the packages of each batch of products, insert a tray in the center of the barrel to more than half of the thickness of the material layer, and take approximately equal samples, the total amount of which shall not be less than 1kg.

B.1 Preparation of samples of flake vanadium pentoxide
Crush all 1kg of sample to less than 5mm, place it in a stainless steel plate, and use the quartering method to reduce 500g, put it in a pounding cylinder and pound it to 1.5mm, then use the quartering method to reduce 250g, put it in a pounding cylinder and pound it to less than 1mm, and use the quartering method to reduce 60g, and then crush it until it passes through an 80-mouth sieve. Pack it into two bags, one for analysis, and the other for future reference. B.2 Preparation of powdered vanadium pentoxide samples
After mixing 1 kg of sample thoroughly, use the quartering method to reduce 60 g, and then crush or grind it until it passes through an 80-mesh sieve, and pack it into two bags, one for analysis and the other for future reference.
