This part of GB/T10001 is not equivalent to ISO7001:1990 "Graphic symbols for public information signs". Except for the symbols used for tourism and skiing in ISO7001, which will be included in GB/T10001.2, all other symbols are adopted. This revision divides the original standard into several parts and publishes them in series. This standard is Part 1. The structure of GB/T10001 is as follows: GB/T10001.1-2000 Public information graphic symbols for signs Part 1: General symbols GB/T10001.2 (under development) Public information graphic symbols for signs Part 2: Symbols for tourism facilities and services GB/T10001.1 partially replaces GB10001-1994, and makes the following changes to the original standard: 16 tourism and entertainment symbols are included in the second part to be developed: laundry, drying, ironing, dance hall, karaoke, sauna, massage, swimming, chess and cards, table tennis, billiards, bowling, golf, squash, tennis, and fitness. Note: Before the release of GB/T10001.2, the 16 symbols of GB10001-1994 are still valid. 12 new graphic symbols are added: rental car, tram, helicopter, subway, parking lot, park, theater, shopping mall, medical point, VIP, no smoking, no passing.
Delete one graphic symbol: first aid.
One modified six graphic symbols: train, upstairs stairs, downstairs stairs, drinking water, keep quiet, smoking allowed. Three graphic symbols are added with color: emergency exit, fire alarm facility, fire extinguisher. The square borders of six graphic symbols are changed to corner marks: parking lot, direction, emergency exit, medical point, fire alarm facility, fire extinguisher.
This standard shall be implemented from March 1, 2000. Appendix A of this standard is a prompt appendix.
This standard is proposed by the China Standards Research Center. This standard is under the jurisdiction of the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Graphic Symbols. The drafting units of this standard are: China Standards Research Center, National Tourism Administration, Safety Technology Center of Civil Aviation Administration of China, Standard and Metrology Institute of Ministry of Railways.
The main drafters of this standard are: Zhang Liang, Bai Dianyi, Chen Yuanqiao, He Li, Liu Jiawei, Huang Yinyin. The original standard was first issued in 1988. When it was revised in 1994, GB3818-1983 "Graphic Symbols for Public Information" and GB10001-1988 "Graphic Symbols for Public Information Signs" were merged. This is the second revision. GB/T10001.1 specifies common public information graphic symbols for use on sign. GB/T10001.1 is applicable to public places, service facilities and means of transport, as well as publications and other information carriers. 2 Referenced standards
The provisions contained in the following standards constitute the provisions of this standard through reference in this standard. When this standard is published, the versions shown are valid. 4 Colors
4.1 The colors used for the graphic symbols in Table 1 shall comply with the provisions of GB2893. Yellow is not allowed to be used without the meaning of "warning", and red is not allowed to be used without the meaning of "prohibition". 4.2 The graphic symbols with colors in Table 1 shall strictly comply with the colors specified in this standard. 4.3 The color selection order of other graphic symbols is as follows; a) black graphics, white background;
b) white graphics, green, blue, black background; c) blue, green graphics, white background;
d) Under the premise of ensuring a strong contrast between the graphics and the background, the metal carrier signboard can use the carrier's original color as the background color. 5 Drawing and production of graphic symbol signs
5.1 The graphic symbol in Table 1 and its positional relationship with the square sideline (or corner mark) should be strictly enlarged or reduced in proportion. 5.2 When making graphic symbol signs, the square sideline in Table 1 should be retained. The sideline can only be omitted when the sign is square and its edge coincides with the square sideline in Table 1. 5.3 The corner mark in Table 1 is not a component of the graphic symbol, but only the basis for making the graphic symbol. The corner mark does not appear in the sign. For graphic symbols with color, the white lining between the corner mark and the graphic symbol should be retained. 5.4 The four corners of the square in the graphic in Table 1 can be rounded, and the four corners of the square sign can also be rounded.
