Mechanical Industry Standard of the People's Republic of China JB/T8580--1997 Silicon Nitride Glow Plugs for Diesel Engines Technical Conditions Published on June 20, 1997 Ministry of Machinery Industry of the People's Republic of China Implementation on January 1, 1998 JB/T8580-1997 This standard adopts ISO7578-1986 "Road Vehicles-General Requirements and Test Methods for Enclosed Glow Plugs" in a non-equivalent manner. The main difference between silicon nitride glow plugs and traditional metal glow plugs is that the heating element is silicon nitride ceramic, and its various performances are better than metal glow plugs. The main technical indicators specified in this standard are higher than those specified in JB5783-91 "Technical Conditions for Enclosed Glow Plugs". Appendix A and Appendix B of this standard are both suggestive appendices. This standard is proposed and managed by the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Internal Combustion Engines. The drafting units of this standard are: Shanghai Internal Combustion Engine Research Institute of the Ministry of Machinery Industry, Laiyang Power Machinery General Factory. The main drafters of this standard are: Chen Hongzhi, Chen Changming, Shi Yuhe. 1 1 Scope Machinery Industry Standard of the People's Republic of China Silicon Nitride Glow Plugs for Diesel Engines Technical Conditions JB/T8580-—1997 This standard specifies the product classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking and packaging of silicon nitride glow plugs for diesel engines (hereinafter referred to as glow plugs).
