5.3 The cracks, scars, bubbles, inclusions and transverse scratches on the surface of the steel strip should be removed. After the defects are removed, the thickness of the steel strip shall not be less than the minimum thickness allowed.
The surface of the steel strip is allowed to have indentations and longitudinal scratches with a depth not greater than the negative deviation of the thickness allowed, as well as protrusions with a height not greater than the positive deviation of the thickness allowed. The depth and height (calculated from the actual size) are calculated on a single side. 5.4 The steel strip shall not be delaminated, and its edges shall not have broken edges and significant wave edges that affect the quality of the welded pipe. Chisel-shaped defects are allowed. Defects such as holes, cracks, burrs and jade marks, the depth or height on one side shall not be greater than the allowable deviation of the width. 5.5 The head and tail of the steel strip shall be cut evenly. With the consent of the purchaser, it is also possible to deliver without cutting the head and tail. For steel strips rolled by continuous rolling mills, the abnormal parts shall not exceed 8% of the length of the steel strip. 6 Test methods

6.2 The specimens for tensile and cold bending tests shall be taken from the outer ring of the steel strip coil at a position more than 1m away from the end at the center of the steel strip width. If the specimen length is limited by the width of the steel strip, it is allowed to take the longitudinal specimen at the position specified above. 6.3 The thickness of the steel strip shall be measured at a distance of not less than 10mm from the edge. 6.4 When measuring the knife bend, place the inspected part of the steel strip on a flat surface, place a 1n long ruler close to the concave edge of the steel strip, and measure the maximum distance between the steel strip and the ruler.
7 Acceptance rules
7.1 The steel strip shall be inspected and accepted by the technical supervision department of the supplier. 7.2 The steel strip shall be accepted in batches, and each batch shall consist of steel strips of the same brand, the same furnace number, the same category, the same size (thickness, width), and the same heat treatment furnace (referring to heat treatment). Carbon structural steel and low alloy structural steel strips shall be batched according to the provisions of GB700 and GB1591 respectively.
