This standard specifies the scope, definition and units, reference materials, test methods, data and reports of water solubility test of chemicals.
This standard is applicable to the determination of water solubility of chemicals.
This standard is equivalent to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) Chemical Testing Guide 105 (1995) "Water Solubility" (English version).
This standard has made the following editorial changes:
--- Added the scope part;
--- Changed the measurement unit to the legal measurement unit of China.
This standard is proposed and managed by the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Hazardous Chemicals Management (SAC/TC251). || tt|| The responsible drafting organization of this standard is China Institute of Inspection and Quarantine.
The main drafters of this standard are Zhou Xin, Chen Huiming, Wang Junbing, Yu Wenlian, Wang Lifeng, Hao Nan, Sun Xin and Wang Zheng.
This standard is published for the first time. This standard is a revised version of the original OECD 105 method from 1981. There is no difference between the new version and the 1981 version in terms of chemical substances. The main format has been changed. This version is also based on the EC method "Water Solubility" [1] with some modifications.
The water solubility of a substance is greatly affected by impurities. This method is used to determine the water solubility of a pure substance that is
stable in water and not volatile. Before determining the water solubility, it is helpful to obtain some preliminary information about the compound, such as the structural formula, vapor pressure, dissociation constant and hydrolysis ability under pH conditions.
This standard introduces two methods: column elution method and flask method. In this standard, they are respectively applicable to chemicals with solubility less than and greater than 10-2g/L. This standard also introduces a simple pre-test. When the final step of the pre-test is carried out, the amount of sample used is rough, and it takes a certain amount of time for the solution to reach saturation.
