3 Terms
3.1 Ready-mixed concrete
Ready-mixed concrete refers to a concrete mixture that is made of cement, aggregate, water, and admixtures and additives added as needed, which is sold after being measured and mixed at a centralized mixing station (factory) in a certain proportion and transported to the place of use within a specified time by a transport vehicle. 3.2 General products
General products refer to premixed concrete with a strength grade not exceeding C40, a slump not exceeding 150mm, and a maximum particle size of coarse aggregate not exceeding 40mm, and no special requirements.
3.3 Special products
Special products refer to premixed concrete that exceeds the specified range of general products or has special requirements. Approved by the State Administration of Technical Supervision on January 2, 1994 130

3.4 Supplier and Demander

Place of Delivery refers to the place where the supplier and demander agree on the delivery of ready-mixed concrete according to the contract. 3.6 Factory Inspection
Factory Inspection refers to the inspection of the quality of ready-mixed concrete by the centralized mixing station (plant) before it leaves the station (plant). 3.7 Delivery Inspection
Delivery Inspection refers to the inspection of the quality of ready-mixed concrete at the delivery location. 3.8 Transport Vehicle
Transport Vehicle refers to the specific transportation equipment for transporting ready-mixed concrete. 4 Product classification and marking
4.1 Classification
Ready-mixed concrete is divided into two categories: general products and special products. 4.1.1 General products
4.1.1.1 The concrete strength grade, slump and maximum size of coarse aggregate should be specified in the contract for general products. The values can be selected according to the following ranges: Strength grade: C7.5.C10,C15,C20,C25,C30,C35,C40. Slump (mm): 25, 50, 80.100,120,150. Maximum size of coarse aggregate (mm): continuous or single size not greater than 40mm. 4.1.1.2 For general products, the following items shall be specified in the contract as needed: a.
Cement type and grade;
Admixture type;
Admixture type and specification;
Concrete mixture density;
The highest or lowest temperature of the concrete mixture at the time of delivery. 4.1.2 Special products
4.1.2.1 For special products, the strength grade, slump and maximum particle size of coarse aggregate of concrete shall be specified in the contract. In addition to the range specified for general products, the strength grade and slump of concrete can also be selected according to the following range: Strength grade: C45, C50.C55, C60. Slump (mm): 180.200.
4.1.2.2 Special products should specify the following items in the contract as needed: a.

5 Technical requirements
5.1 Materials

5.1.1 Cement
5.1.1.1 Cement shall comply with the provisions of GB175, GB1344 and other relevant standards. 5.1.1.2 Cement must be accompanied by a quality certificate when it is purchased. The strength and stability of the cement entering the factory shall be tested by batch and can only be used after passing the inspection. 5.1.2 Aggregates
5.1.2.1 Aggregates shall comply with the provisions of JGJ52 and JGJ53. 5.1.2.2 Premixed concrete shall be made of aggregates supplied by sand and gravel production sites or material supply stations, and shall have a quality certificate. Aggregates entering the factory shall be retested in batches according to the provisions of JGI52 and JGJ53, and can only be used after passing the test. 5.1.3 Mixing water
The water used for mixing concrete shall comply with the provisions of JGJ63. 5.7.4 Admixtures

5.1.4.2 Admixtures must be technically identified and shall have a quality certificate. The dosage and adaptability of cement shall be determined through tests according to the provisions of GBJ119.
5.1.5 Admixtures
5.1.5.1 Fly ash admixtures shall comply with the provisions of GB1596. 5.1.5.2 Fly ash should have a quality certificate, and its dosage should be determined by testing in accordance with the provisions of JGJ28. 5.1.5.3 When other types of admixtures are used, they must be identified and tested before use. 5.2 Quality
5.2.1 Strength
The strength of premixed concrete shall comply with the provisions of GBJ107. 5.2.2 Slump

5.2.3 Air Content

5.2.4 Total Chloride Content
Concrete.The total chloride content in the upper mixture should not exceed the value specified in the contract. When the contract does not specify, it should not exceed the provisions of Table 3. The results should comply with the contract provisions. 5.3 Concrete mix ratio
5.3.1 The design of the mix ratio of ready-mixed concrete shall be carried out by the supplier in accordance with the relevant provisions of GBJ107, JGJ55, JGJ28 and the contract requirements, but the determination of the slump shall take into account the loss value of concrete during transportation. The supplier shall redesign the concrete mix ratio when the following circumstances occur: a. When the contract requires it; b. When the origin or variety of the raw materials used has changed significantly; c. When the production of concrete of the mix ratio is interrupted for more than half a year. 133

5.3.2 The quality of concrete prepared according to the mix ratio designed in 5.3.1 must meet the requirements of Article 5.2 and shall be inspected and qualified in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 7.
5.4 Preparation
5.4.1 Material storage facilities
5.4.1.1 Cement storage facilities should be separated by cement type and grade, and should be able to prevent cement agglomeration and contamination. 5.4.1.2 Aggregate storage facilities should ensure the uniformity of aggregates and prevent large and small particles from being separated. Aggregates of different types and specifications should be separated to avoid mixing or contamination.
5.4.1.3 Storage facilities for admixtures should be separated by different types and their quality should be prevented from changing. 5.4.1.4 Storage facilities for admixtures should be separated by type and clearly marked. It is strictly forbidden to mix with other powdery materials such as cement. 5.4.2 Measuring equipment
5.4.2.1 The accuracy of the measuring equipment should meet the relevant provisions of GB10172. 5.4.2.2 The measuring equipment should have a valid certificate issued by the statutory measurement department. 5.4.2.3 The metering equipment must be able to continuously meter various materials of concrete with different mix ratios. 5.4.3 Mixer
The mixer shall comply with the provisions of GB9142, and a fixed mixer is preferred. 5.4.4 Transporter
5.4.4.1 During transportation, the transporter shall maintain the uniformity of the concrete mixture and shall not produce stratification and segregation. 5.4.4.2 During unloading, the transporter shall smoothly discharge all the concrete mixture. 5.4.4.3 The dump truck is only suitable for transporting concrete mixture with a drop of less than 80mm, and the transport container shall be guaranteed to be leak-proof, with a smooth inner wall and covering facilities.
5.4.5 Measuring
5.4.5.1 The measurement of various raw materials shall be based on mass, and the measurement of water and admixture solution may be based on volume. 5.4.5.2 The allowable deviation of material measurement shall not exceed the range specified in Table 4. 5.4.6 Mixing
5.4.6.1 Ready-mixed concrete shall be mixed with a mixer that complies with the provisions of 5.4.3 and shall be used strictly in accordance with the provisions of the equipment manual. 5.4.6.2 The shortest time for mixing concrete with a fixed mixer shall comply with the following provisions: When a mixer truck is used to transport concrete, the shortest mixing time shall comply with the provisions of the equipment manual;.
b. When a dump truck is used When transporting concrete, the shortest mixing time shall comply with the relevant provisions of GBJ204. 5.4.7 Transportation
5.4.7.1 Ready-mixed concrete shall be transported by the transport vehicles specified in 5.4.4. 5.4.7.2 When it is necessary to add admixtures before unloading, the time for rapid mixing of the mixer truck after the admixtures are added shall be determined by experiment. 5.4.7.3 When transporting concrete, it is strictly forbidden to add water to the barrel of the transport truck at will. 5.4.7.4 The transportation time of concrete refers to the time from the first batch of concrete being discharged from the mixer to the time when the transport truck starts unloading. The transportation time shall meet the requirements of the contract. When the contract does not stipulate, concrete transported by a mixer truck should be unloaded within 1.5 hours; concrete transported by a dump truck should be unloaded within 1.0 hours; when the maximum temperature is below 25°C, the transportation time can be extended by 0.5 hours. 134

5.4.7.5 The frequency of concrete delivery shall ensure the continuity of concrete construction and shall comply with the contract provisions. 5.4.8 Quality Management
In order for the supplier to meet the quality requirements of Article 5.2 for the concrete mixture it prepares, it must establish a complete quality assurance system and corresponding quality management system and have complete archival materials. 5.5 Supply Quantity
5.5.1 The supply quantity of ready-mixed concrete shall be calculated in m2. 5.5.2 The calculation of the supply quantity of ready-mixed concrete shall be obtained by dividing the density of the concrete mixture by the actual loading capacity of a transport truck. Note: 1) Concrete mixture density refers to The mass of the unit volume of concrete mixture after compaction. 2) The actual loading capacity of a transport vehicle can be obtained by the mass sum of all materials used in the concrete of the vehicle or by the mass difference of the transport vehicles before and after loading.
6 Test method
6.1 Strength
The strength test shall be carried out in accordance with the relevant provisions of GBJ81. 6.2 Fall
The fall test shall be carried out in accordance with the relevant provisions of GBJ80. 6.3 Air content
The air content test shall be carried out in accordance with the relevant provisions of GBJ80. 6.4 Total chloride content
The total chloride content can be calculated based on the chloride content of each component material of the concrete. 6.5 Concrete mixture density
The test of concrete mixture density shall be carried out in accordance with the relevant provisions of GBJ80. 6.6 Special requirements items
The test of the inspection items with special requirements specified in the contract shall be carried out in accordance with the relevant standards. 7 Inspection rules
7.1 General provisions
7.1.1 The inspection in this chapter refers to the testing of quality indicators such as concrete strength, slump, air content, total chloride content, etc., to determine whether the quality of concrete meets the requirements.
7.1.2 The inspection of the quality of ready-mixed concrete is divided into factory inspection and delivery inspection. The sampling test work of the factory inspection shall be undertaken by the supplier; the sampling test work of the delivery inspection shall be undertaken by the unit negotiated by the supply and demand parties, including the commissioned testing unit with testing qualifications recognized by the supply and demand parties, and it shall be clearly stated in the contract.
7.1.3 When judging whether the quality of concrete meets the requirements, the strength and slump shall be based on the delivery inspection results; the total chloride content can be based on the delivery inspection results; other inspection items shall be carried out in accordance with the contract provisions. 7.2 Inspection items
7.2.1 The strength and slump of general products shall be inspected. 7.2.2 In addition to the items listed in 7.2.1, special products shall also be inspected for other items as specified in the contract. For concrete with air content inspection requirements, its air content shall be inspected.
7.3 Sampling and batching
7.3.1 Concrete samples for delivery inspection shall be taken at the delivery site. Concrete samples for factory inspection shall be taken at the mixing site.
7.3.2 The collection of concrete samples for delivery inspection shall be completed within 20 minutes after the concrete is transported to the delivery site in accordance with GBJ80; the preparation of strength test pieces shall be completed within 40 minutes. 135

7.3.3 Each sample shall be randomly selected from a tray or a transport vehicle; concrete samples shall be collected between 1/4 and 3/4 of the unloading volume during the unloading process.
7.3.4 The volume of each sample should be 1.5 times the volume required for the concrete quality inspection project, and should not be less than 0.02m. 7.3.5 The sampling frequency and batching conditions for concrete strength inspection samples should be carried out in accordance with the following provisions: a.
For samples used for factory inspection, sampling shall not be less than once for every 100 batches of concrete with the same mix ratio; when the concrete with the same mix ratio in each work shift is less than 100 batches, sampling shall not be less than once. b. For samples used for delivery inspection, sampling shall not be less than once for every 100m2 of concrete with the same mix ratio; when the concrete with the same mix ratio mixed by a work shift is less than 100m2, sampling shall not be less than once. Note: When the amount of concrete with the same mix ratio continuously supplied in a sub-project is greater than 1000m2, the samples for delivery inspection shall not be less than once for every 200m2 of concrete.
c. The batching conditions of concrete samples shall comply with the provisions of GBJ107. 7.3.6 The quality of concrete mixture shall be visually inspected for each truckload; for the concrete slump test, the concrete sample with the same mix ratio shall be sampled and tested at least once for every 100m2. When the concrete with the same mix ratio in one work shift is less than 100m2, the sample shall be sampled and tested at least once.
7.3.7 The sampling and testing frequency of the air content, total chloride content and special requirements of the concrete: soil mixture shall be carried out in accordance with the contract provisions. 7.4 Qualification judgment
7.4.1 The strength test results shall be qualified if they meet the requirements of 5.2.1. 7.4.2 The slump and air content test results shall be qualified if they meet the requirements of 5.2.2 and 5.2.3 respectively; if they do not meet the requirements, the remaining sample shall be immediately used for verification test. If the results of the second test meet the requirements of 5.2.2 and 5.2.3, it is still qualified. 7.4.3 The total chloride content test results shall be qualified if they meet the requirements of 5.2.4. 7.4.4 For concrete that does not meet the strength requirements, it shall be handled in accordance with the relevant provisions of GBJ107. 7.4.5 For concrete that does not meet the requirements of this standard in terms of slump, air content and total chloride content, the purchaser has the right to reject and return the goods. 8 Ordering and Delivery
8.1 Ordering
8.1.1 When purchasing ready-mixed concrete, the supplier and the purchaser shall first sign a contract. 8.1.2 The contract shall include an order form for ready-mixed concrete. The reference format of the order form is shown in Table A1 of Appendix A (reference). 8.2 Delivery
8.2.1 At the time of delivery, the supplier must provide the purchaser with a delivery note for each truckload of ready-mixed concrete. The reference format of the delivery note is shown in Table A2 of Appendix A (reference).
