Category, grade Wire rods are divided into three categories according to their organization. Their categories and grades are listed in Table 1. If there are any of the above defects, they must be removed. The removal depth shall not exceed the diameter tolerance. However, individual scratches, pits, pits and protrusions with a depth or height not exceeding half of the diameter tolerance are allowed. 3.4 The macrostructure of the steel shall be inspected on the steel bar or wire rod. There shall be no shrinkage holes, bubbles, inclusions and cracks visible to the naked eye on the cross-section acid-immersed macro-magnification test piece. Inspection rules and test methods The acceptance of wire rods shall be carried out in accordance with GB2101-80 "General Provisions for Acceptance, Packaging, Marking and Quality Certificate of Steel Sections". 4.1 4.2 The sampling quantity and test method for wire rod inspection shall comply with the provisions of Table 3.
