1 Scope
This part of GB/T 39652 specifies the general provisions of the list of substances that produce toxic gases when in contact with water in dangerous goods transportation accidents, the list structure of substances that produce toxic gases when in contact with water, and the list of substances that produce toxic gases when in contact with water.
GB/T 39652.4 is applicable to the list of substances that produce toxic gases when in contact with water in the guide for emergency rescue of dangerous goods transportation.

3 Terms and Definitions
The terms and definitions defined in GB 12268, GB/T 39652.1, the Guidelines for Emergency Rescue in the Transport of Dangerous Goods (ERG) and the Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods Model Regulations apply to this document. For ease of use, some terms and definitions are listed repeatedly below.

Water-sensitive
Chemical phenomena that may produce flammable and/or toxic substances when in contact with water.
3.2
Toxic gases Toxic gases
Include gases that meet one of the following conditions:
a) Gases whose toxicity or corrosiveness is harmful to human health;
b) Toxic or corrosive gases with an acute median lethal concentration LC3 value less than or equal to 5 000 mL/m3.
This part specifies the general provisions for the list of substances that produce toxic gases when in contact with water, the structure of the list of substances that produce toxic gases when in contact with water, and the list of substances that produce toxic gases when in contact with water, which are common in dangerous goods transport accidents.

Substances which in contact with water produce toxic gases Suhstance which in contact with water remits toxic gases A substance or class of substances which can produce toxic gases when interacting with water 1 rKaeerkAca- GB/T 39652.4—2021 4 General provisions 4.1 The substances which react with water to produce toxic gases listed in this part refer to dangerous goods with known hazard categories: 4.2 Substances which meet the dangerous goods classification requirements of A.2.4c) in CB/T 39652.1-2021 and only produce flammable gases when in contact with water are not included in this part; those which produce both flammable and toxic gases when in contact with water are included in this part. 4.3 The substances themselves are not toxic substances. They react with water to produce toxic gases. They are included in this part. 4.4 The fact that some dangerous goods are not listed in this part does not seem to mean that they do not have relevant hazards. With the continuous expansion of differential data information, relevant content will be supplemented and improved. 4.5 Some substances in this part are inhalable substances. For the content involving inhalable substances, please refer to the entry marked with "when leaking into water" in Table A.1 of GB/T39652.3-2021. 4.6 For the initial isolation and protection and other emergency measures to be taken after the leakage of the substances involved in this part, please refer to (13/T39652.1-2021, GB/T39652.22021 and (GB/T39652.32021.
