This standard is a revision of JB/T53398-94 "Quality Grading of Rolling Bearing Products". Compared with JB/T53398-94, this standard has been revised as follows: 1. The quality classification of super-large rolling bearing products is included in this standard; 2. Appendix A of the original standard is included in the key inspection items of finished bearings in the main text of the standard; 3. The scope of application is clearly defined in accordance with the relevant provisions of GB/T12707-1991 "Guidelines for Quality Classification of Industrial Products"; 4. A chapter on symbols is added;
5. The technical requirements for quality classification and grade assessment are partially revised; 6. The quality levels of the main inspection items, vibration, and steel ball inspection items of finished bearings are adjusted. This standard replaces JB/T53398-94 from the date of implementation. This standard is proposed and managed by the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Rolling Bearings. The drafting unit of this standard: Luoyang Bearing Research Institute. The main drafter of this standard: Wang Hui.
This standard was first issued in 1988 as JB/CQ105-88, and the standard number was adjusted to JB/T53398894 in September 1994.

This standard specifies the technical and quality requirements for the quality grading and grade assessment of general-purpose rolling bearings, extra-large rolling bearings and their commodity parts. This standard is the basis for third-party inspection agencies authorized or recognized by law to determine the quality grade of enterprise products. This standard does not apply to commodity inspection (market spot check) and arbitration inspection of rolling bearings. 2 Referenced Standards

4 Requirements for quality grading and grade assessment
4.1 Quality grading
Products within the scope of application of this standard are divided into three grades: qualified products, first-class products, and superior products based on their quality level and use value on the basis of meeting the current relevant standards. The quality level of superior products must reach the international advanced level, and the physical quality level must reach the advanced level in the past five years compared with similar foreign products. The quality level of first-class products must reach the general international level, and the physical quality level must reach the general level of similar international products. Qualified products are produced according to the general level standards of my country (national standards, industry standards, local standards or enterprise standards), and the physical quality level must meet the requirements of the corresponding standards. 4.2 Technical requirements
4.2.1 General requirements
a) Enterprises formulate their own enterprise standards, and their technical indicators are lower than the corresponding indicators of the current effective standards of the industry. Products are not eligible for the first-class and superior products:
b) All products whose product designs reach the international advanced level are eligible for the first-class and superior products:) The production process of graded products should have stable quality, and the assessment method shall be stipulated by the competent industry department. 4.2.2 Qualified products
The quality indicators of products meet the requirements of the relevant indicators in Table 1 to Table 12. The quality indicators of super-large rolling bearings meet the requirements of the relevant indicators in Table 13 to Table 15. Qualified products are determined by the enterprise’s inspection. 4.2.3First-class products
The quality indicators of products meet the requirements of relevant indicators in Table 1 to Table 12. The total number of defects in the main inspection items of various types of bearing finished product samples: the first-class products of 0-level and 6-level tolerance bearings should not exceed 3; the first-class products of 5-level, 4-level and 2-level tolerance bearings should not exceed 5. The quality indicators of extra-large rolling bearings meet the requirements of relevant indicators in Table 13 to Table 15. The confirmation of first-class products must be supported by the inspection certificate of the physical quality level issued by the national quality inspection center, the industry's full-time inspection agency or the inspection agency commissioned by the state and the industry. 4.2.4Superior products
The quality indicators of products meet the requirements of relevant indicators in Table 1 to Table 12. The total number of defects in the main inspection items of various types of bearing finished product samples: the superior products of 0-level and 6-level tolerance bearings should not exceed 2; the superior products of 5-level, 4-level and 2-level tolerance bearings should not exceed 3; the quality indicators of extra-large rolling bearings meet the requirements of relevant indicators in Table 13 to Table 15. Qualified products and products above qualified products must not only meet the various index requirements in Tables 1 to 6, but also undergo three performance tests of dust prevention, grease leakage and temperature rise in accordance with JB/T8571.
4.2.6 Extra-large rolling bearings
User evaluation of extra-large rolling bearings Product performance and service life: Qualified products should be able to meet the use requirements, first-class products should reach the international level in the early 1990s, and superior products should reach the international advanced level. 5 Inspection and judgment criteria
