Some standard content:
GB 18408--2001 All technical contents of this standard are mandatory. Fore The photometric performance indicators of this standard refer to the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe ECER4 "Uniform Provisions on Approval of Rear License Plate Lighting Devices for Motor Vehicles (Except Motorcycles) and Their Trailers" (E/ECE/324, E/ECE/TRANS/505, Add.3/Rev1, May 7, 1997). The lighting area size is in accordance with GA36-1992. This standard was proposed by the State Machinery Industry Bureau. This standard is under the jurisdiction of the National Automobile Standardization Technical Committee. This standard was drafted by the Shanghai Automotive Lighting Research Institute. The main drafter of this standard: Chen Chenming. 1 Scope National Standard of the People's Republic of China Photometric characteristics of devices for the illumination of rear registration plates of motor yehicles and their trailersGB18408-.2001 This standard specifies the general requirements, photometric performance and light color requirements, measurement, inspection methods and inspection rules of photometric performance and light color of lighting devices for rear registration plates of motor yehicles and their trailers. This standard applies to lighting devices for rear registration plates of motor vehicles and trailers. This standard does not apply to special-purpose vehicles. 2 Referenced standards The provisions contained in the following standards constitute the provisions of this standard through reference in this standard. When this standard is published, the versions shown are valid. All standards are subject to revision, and parties using this standard should explore the possibility of using the latest versions of the following standards. GB4785-1998 Regulations for the installation of external lighting and signal devices for motor vehicles and trailers GB15766.1-2000 Dimensions and photoelectric performance requirements of filament lamps for road motor vehicles (idtIEC60809:1995) 3 Definitions and classifications 3.1 This standard uses the definitions in GB4785. 3.2 According to the purpose, the rear license plate lighting devices are divided into three categories: 1, 2, and 3 (as shown in Figure 1). The lighting area of the type 1 device is 440mm×140mm, the type 2 is 440mm×220mm, and the type 3 is 300mm×165mm. The intersection of the dot-dash line in the figure is the center of the brightness measurement point. 4 General requirements 4.1 The lighting device should be designed so that the entire area to be illuminated can be seen from the back within the visible range shown in Figure 2. 4.2 The device should be installed so that the light incidence angle at any position in the lighting area is not greater than 82°, and the incidence angle is measured from the lighting device to the extreme position farthest from the license plate. If there is more than one lighting device, this requirement applies only to the part illuminated by the relevant device. 4.3 The minimum visible range of the lighting area shall comply with: in the vertical section, α≤85°α≤85°; in the horizontal section, β<60°β≤60°, as shown in Figure 2. If the visible range is partially obscured due to the installation of the device, the range must be determined in the direction of maximum obstruction, and the obscured range should be minimized. 5 Light distribution performance 5.1 The brightness B of any measuring point (see Figure 1) should not be less than 2.5cd/m. For devices equipped with several replaceable light sources, the measurement specified in 8.5.2 should also meet the requirements. Approved by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China on August 22, 2001. 228 Implementation on May 1, 2002 GB18408 --2001 5.2 The brightness of the lighting area should be uniform. The brightness of any two measuring points must meet the following requirements: I(B1 B2)//Li-2 ≤2 × B./cm - the brightness of any two measuring points, cd/m2; where: BBz - the distance between Lj.2B, and B2, cm; - the minimum brightness among the measuring points, cd/m. Bo Dimensions: mm Figure 1 Illumination area of various devices and center position of measurement point 25 6 Light color Visible rangebzxz.net Vertical section GB 18408—2001 Illuminated surface Visible range Horizontal section Figure 2 Visible range of illumination area Illuminated surface 6.1 The light source in the device must emit white light, which should be sufficiently colorless and should not cause any obvious change in the color of the rear license plate. 6.2 The device shall not emit direct light backwards unless it emits red light due to the combination or compounding of the device with other lamps. 7 Provisions on bulbs The bulbs used in the device shall comply with the provisions of GB15766.1. 8 Brightness measurement method 8.1 The laboratory, instruments and installation of the device for measuring brightness should ensure that the measurement results have appropriate accuracy and reproducibility. 8.2 Measure the brightness in the vertical direction of a clean white blotting paper (or equivalent reflective surface) of the same size as the rear license plate and with a surface diffuse reflectivity of not less than 70%. The paper is placed about 2mm in front of the rear license plate bracket. The measuring point is a circle with a diameter of about 25mm. 8.3 For devices with replaceable light sources, adjust the voltage of the bulb in the device during measurement so that the luminous flux emitted by the bulb is the minimum limit luminous flux specified in GB15766.1. 8.4 For devices with non-replaceable light sources, the voltage should be 13.5V and 28.0V. In cases where a dedicated power supply must be used, the manufacturer should provide the power supply when necessary. 8.5 Measurement of brightness of devices equipped with several light sources 8.5.1 For devices equipped with several non-replaceable light sources, the voltage should be 13.5V and 28.0V. 8.5.2 For replaceable light source devices equipped with product bulbs operating at 13.5V and 28.0V voltages, the product bulbs shall be used for measurement, and their brightness shall not be less than the value specified in this standard increased by the tolerance of the luminous flux of this type of bulb as specified in GB15766.1; standard bulbs may also be used one by one at each position to measure the brightness under the reference luminous flux state, and then the measured values at the same measuring point are added together, and the sum obtained is the brightness of the point. 9 Light color inspection method Power the device with the test voltage and observe the color change of the rear license plate. 10 Inspection rules 10.1 Replaceable light source devices shall comply with the provisions of Chapter 7. 10.2 The method for measuring brightness shall comply with the provisions of Chapter 8, and the method for inspecting light color shall comply with the provisions of Chapter 9. 10.3 Type inspection GB18408—2001 10.3.1 The manufacturer shall submit two samples and three copies of drawings and technical documents indicating the type and installation position on the vehicle to the inspection department. 10.3.2 The two samples shall comply with the provisions of Chapter 4, Chapter 5 and Chapter 6. 10.4 Production consistency inspection 10.4.1 The sampling plan and judgment rules shall be agreed upon by the supplier and the consignee. 10.4.2 The samples shall comply with the provisions of Chapter 4 and Chapter 6. 10.4.3 The brightness shall not be less than 2cd/m2, and the brightness uniformity shall meet the requirement of replacing the factor 2 in the formula in 5.2 with 3. 231 Tip: This standard content only shows part of the intercepted content of the complete standard.
