The theoretical line of metallic hull structure (expressed as ML) specified in this standard is the reference line for determining the installation position of hull components. Basic principles for determining the theoretical line
1.1 The back side of asymmetric profiles is the theoretical line. 1.2 The theoretical line of deck, platform and inner bottom plate is the side close to the baseline (indicated by BL). 1.3 The theoretical line of plate and transverse bulkhead is the side close to the ship's touch (indicated by). The theoretical line of longitudinal girder and longitudinal bulkhead is the side close to the hull centerline (indicated by 4). 1.4
For components that do not comply with the provisions of this standard, the position of the theoretical line shall be marked. The theoretical line of plate shall be in accordance with Table 1.
