Chapter 1 General
Article 1.0.1 This specification is formulated to ensure that the architectural design of port passenger terminals meets the basic requirements of applicability, safety and hygiene, and to unify technical requirements. Article 1.0.2 This specification applies to the architectural design of new, expanded and renovated port passenger terminals.
Article 1.0.3 The construction of port passenger terminals shall be designed in accordance with the principle of focusing on passenger transportation and taking freight transportation into consideration.
Article 1.0.4 The building scale of port passenger terminals shall be divided into four levels according to the design passenger gathering volume in accordance with the provisions of Table 1.0.4. For the calculation of the design passenger gathering volume, see Appendix 1. The building scale of international route port passenger terminals can be determined according to the actual needs of the passenger terminals.

Chapter II Site and General Plan
Section 1 Site
Article 2.1.1 The site selection shall comply with the layout requirements of urban and port planning. Article 2.1.2 The site shall have sufficient water and land area, suitable dock shoreline and water depth.
Article 2.1.3 The site shall be selected in an area close to towns and convenient transportation, and shall have good external conditions such as water supply, power supply and communication. Article 2.1.4 The protective distance between the site and the operation site of dangerous goods, toxic substances, dust and other pollutants shall comply with relevant regulations on environmental protection, safety and hygiene. Article 2.2.1 The port passenger station shall include a station square, station building, passenger terminal and other ancillary facilities.
Article 2.2.2 The general plan design shall make reasonable use of the terrain conditions, have a compact layout, save land, combine long-term and short-term plans, and leave room for development. Article 2.2.3 The general plan layout of the passenger station shall comply with the requirements of urban planning and the overall layout of the port. The first and second level passenger stations should be set up separately from the port freight operation area, and the third and attached passenger stations can be determined according to the specific conditions of the port. Article 2.2.4 The general plan design should have clear functional zoning, smooth and simple passenger and cargo flow lines, and should separate passenger, cargo and vehicle flows, and separate entrances and exits. The layout of the international passenger station shall also meet the relevant requirements of the joint inspection. Chapter 3 Station Square
Article 3.0.1 The station square should include motor vehicle and non-motor vehicle parking lots, roads, passenger activities, greening and other land.
Article 3.0.2 The scale of the station square can be determined according to the scale classification of the passenger station and the actual situation of the port. When calculated according to the designed passenger gathering volume, each person should not be less than 2mp

Chapter 4 Passenger Terminal
Article 4.0.1 Passenger terminals should be arranged in a centralized manner, or they can be arranged in a dispersed manner according to the route, ship type, and water depth of the terminal shoreline.
Article 4.0.2 Passenger terminals should meet the requirements of passenger ship berthing, berthing, etc., and should be equipped with safe and convenient passenger boarding and disembarking facilities. Article 4.0.3 Passenger and vehicle roll-on/roll-off ship terminals should be equipped with safe and convenient passenger and vehicle boarding and disembarking facilities. A special parking lot for ship-borne vehicles should be set up near the terminal. The parking scale of the parking lot should not be less than one times the number of vehicles carried by the ship at the same time. Article 4.0.4 The number of berths of the passenger terminal can be reasonably determined based on factors such as passenger and cargo throughput, number of routes, ship type, ship schedule, and density of arrival and departure of ships. Chapter V Station Building Design
Section 1 General Provisions
Article 5.1.1 The station building shall be equipped with various types of rooms according to the level of the passenger station, generally consisting of waiting
ticketing, baggage, station service rooms and boarding and disembarking corridors. Article 5.1.2 The station building shall have clear functional zoning, and the passenger and cargo flow shall be arranged reasonably, which is conducive to safe operation and convenient use.
Article 5.1.3 The architectural space layout and structural selection of the station building shall have appropriate flexibility and versatility, and be able to adapt to the requirements of reconstruction and expansion. Article 5.1.4 The station building shall be equipped with corridors to ensure the safety and convenience of passengers boarding and disembarking, and corresponding facilities for the disabled shall be set up.
