Using a pulling action
The operating mechanism should effectively make the pedal on the support shaft under the driver's feet in a neutral position when not working. The forward or downward movement of the front end of the pedal should cause forward movement and increase the forward movement speed. The downward movement of the rear end of the pedal should cause reverse movement and increase the reverse speed. This operation should be able to directly convert forward movement into reverse movement through the neutral position. This structure should be able to prevent automatic gear shifting and should be set up with a reliable neutral position
Moving the joystick forward or upward from the neutral position is for forward movement and increase forward speed; moving it backward or downward is for reverse movement and increase reverse speed. When this selective operation can be directly converted from forward to reverse via neutral position, this structure should be able to prevent automatic gear jumping and should be equipped with a reliable neutral position

Method of operation
Move the joystick gradually upward or forward from the neutral position to select a gear to increase forward speed; move the joystick gradually downward or backward from the neutral position to select a reverse gear to increase normal speed. When the joystick can directly pass through the neutral position from forward to reverse, a separate and reliable "neutral" position should be provided. When passing through the neutral position, there should be a device to prevent automatic shifting to prevent accidental movement of the joystick
The shift diagram should be simple and the markings should be clear, especially the neutral position should be easy to identify and easy to select
