Introduction to standards:

This standard replaces GB/T 5495-1985 "Test Method for Roughness Ratio of Rice in Grain and Oilseed Inspection". This standard specifies the terms and definitions, principles, instruments and utensils, sampling, sample preparation, operating procedures and result calculation of the roughness ratio of rice. This standard is applicable to the determination of the roughness ratio of commercial rice. The main differences between this standard and GB/T 5495-1985 are as follows: - The name of the standard is changed to "Test Method for Roughness Ratio of Rice in Grain and Oilseed Inspection"; - Normative reference documents, terms and definitions, and principles are added; - Definitions are given for clean rice and roughness ratio; - The sample size of clean rice is changed from 20g to 20g~25g. GIB5491 Grain and oilseed inspection sampling and subsampling method GB/T5491 Grain and oilseed inspection inspection of impurities and imperfect grains in grains and oilseeds 3 Terms and definitions
The terms and definitions established in GB1350 and the following terms and definitions shall apply to this standard. 3. t
Clean paddy
Rice after impurities and brown rice outside the grain are removed. 3.2
Roughness yield
The mass fraction of brown rice (of which the mass of imperfect grains is calculated as half) after the husked rice sample is husked in the sample. 4 Principle
The rice is husked by combining the experimental husking machine and manual husking, and the imperfect grains of brown rice are inspected by sensory inspection method. The husked rice sample, brown rice and imperfect grains are weighed separately to calculate the roughness. 5 Instruments and appliances
5.1 Balance: graduation value 0.01g,
5.2 Sample divider or sample divider plate.
5.3 Grain screening: round hole sieve with diameter 2.0 mm. 5.4 Experimental rice sieve.
6 Sampling
Perform according to GB 5491.
7 Sample preparation
7.1 Laboratory samples shall not be less than 1.0kg.
7.2 Sample the laboratory samples according to the method of GB5191 to obtain the test samples. 7.3 Remove impurities and brown rice from the test samples according to the method of GB/T5494 to obtain the clean rice test samples. 1

8 Operation steps
Weigh 20g~25g sample (m) from the clean rice sample, accurate to 0.01g, first remove the sprouted grains, peel the shells separately, and weigh the mass of the sprouted brown rice (nl). Then the remaining sample is husked with an experimental husk machine to remove the husk, and the mass of the brown rice after husking by the husk machine is weighed (m), and the imperfect brown rice in the husk brown rice is sensory tested, and the mass of the imperfect brown rice (m:) is weighed. 9 Result calculation
The roughness rate of the husk brown rice is calculated according to formula (1):
Wherein:
Roughness rate of the husk brown rice, %;
X = (m2+mz)(m2+m2)/2
The mass of the sprouted brown rice, in grams (g); m2-the mass of the brown rice after husking by the husk machine, in grams (g); t
The mass of the imperfect brown rice, in grams (g); The mass of the sample, in grams (g)
Under repeatability conditions, if the absolute difference of the two independent test results is not less than 0.5%, the average is the test result: the test result is rounded to one decimal place.
