A Overview
HG/T215291
Appendix A
Calibration of the measuring instrument
(Supplement)
This measuring instrument uses a constant rate titration device to add DBP to the carbon black sample placed in the mixing chamber. As DBP increases, the mixture of carbon black and DBP changes from a free-flowing state to a semi-plastic mass, and the viscosity increases at the same time. It is transmitted to the torque sensor through the rotor. When the torque generated by the viscosity change reaches the set value, the constant rate titration device stops working and reaches the end point of the measurement A2 Instruments and materials required for the test
A3 Sample preparation
In a constant temperature drying oven at 125±3℃, dry the carbon black sample for 1h, and then cool it in a desiccator for at least half an hour. The dried carbon black sample can be stored in a desiccator for use. A4 Test conditions
Perform according to Article 4.1.
A5 Test steps
A5.1 First, calibrate the constant rate titration device, see Appendix B for details. A5.2
See Table A1 for the standard reference carbon black required for calibrating the measuring instrument. Table A1
Standard reference light black
A5.3 Sample amount
DBP absorption value, ml/100g
Weigh the dried carbon black sample (accurate to 0.02g) according to the carbon black type and sample amount listed in Table A2. Table A2

A5.4 Determination
: A5.4.1 Place the carbon black sample in the mixing chamber, the sample is the most, g
A5.4.2 Start the tester, and then start the constant speed titration device. DBP is added dropwise to the carbon black sample placed in the mixing chamber. When the carbon black absorbs DBP, the free-flowing state of the mixture of carbon black and DBP becomes a semi-plastic mass, and the viscosity increases at the same time. The viscosity is transmitted to the torque sensor through the rotor. When the torque value generated by the viscosity change reaches the set value, the titration device stops working. The amount of DBP added can be read from the digital display or obtained in other ways. A5.4.3 Remove the mixing chamber and carefully clean the rotor and mixing chamber with a scraper. A5.4.4 Reinstall the mixing chamber.
A6 Expression of results
The carbon DBP absorption value D is expressed as the volume of DBP absorbed per 100g of carbon black. Calculate using formula (A1): D
Where: V--the volume of DBP used, ml; M--the amount of sample, g.
A7. Repeatability
The difference between the two test results shall not exceed 1.6mL/100g. Each standard carbon black shall be measured a sufficient number of times to obtain a stable value. If the difference between the two test results does not exceed 1.6mL/100g, the two results are considered reliable. After the analyzer is calibrated and adjusted, if the oil absorption value of the test standard carbon black still does not meet the requirements of Table A1, the measured value can be regressed using the least squares method to regress the measured value to the standard value. Another method is to make a curve between the measured value and the standard value and use a suitable equation or graph to correct the measured sample value.
