1 Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, instruments and equipment, sample preparation, operating procedures and result calculation for the test of pure kernel rate of shelled oilseeds. This standard applies to shelled oilseeds.

The following terms and definitions apply to this standard. 3.1
Pure kernel yield
The mass fraction of the kernels with use value obtained after shelling the net sample of shelled oilseed (of which imperfect kernels are calculated by half) in the net sample.
4 Instruments and equipment
4.1 Sample divider: a conical sample divider or a multi-outlet sample divider with a distribution system. 4.2 Balance: one balance with a sensitivity of 0.1g and one balance with a sensitivity of 0.01g. 4.3 Analysis plate.
4.4 Tweezers.
4.5 Surface blood.
5 Sample preparation
5.1 Sampling and sample division shall be carried out in accordance with the provisions of GB5491. 5.2 Remove impurities from the sample and remove the kernels from the fruit in accordance with the provisions of GB/T5494 to obtain a net sample. 6 Operation steps
6.1 Weighing the sample
Weigh the clean sample specified in 5.2. Weigh 200g of large particles such as peanuts, tea seeds, and tung seeds, accurate to 0.1g; weigh 20g of small and medium particles such as sunflower seeds and cotton seeds, accurate to 0.01g. 6.2 Shelling
Peanuts are shelled by hand; tea seeds and tung seeds are shelled after gently breaking the shell with a hammer; sunflower seeds are shelled with a forge or by hand; cotton seeds are shelled with scissors and tweezers. The sample is shelled, selected and separated to obtain the kernels. The kernels should not be lost during shelling. 6.3 Division and weighing
Select and remove the kernels of no use value from the obtained kernels (6.2), and then weigh (m,) to an accuracy of 0.01g. 1

Result calculation
The pure kernel rate is calculated according to formula (1):

The calculation result is rounded to one decimal place. The absolute difference between the two test results should not exceed 1.0%, and the average is taken as the test result.
