1cS 37. 060. 20 National Standard of the People's Republic of China GB/T 5297—2002 Replaces GB/T5297—1985 Cinematography-Maximum pcrmissible area for subtitleon 35 mrm and 16 mm motion-picture release prints-Position and dimensions (ISO 8567: 1986,Cincmatography--Maximum permissible area far sublitleon 35 nm and 16 mm motion-picture release prints::Dimensions and locatians, This standard amends the adoption of IS()8567:1986 "Motion Picture - Sizes and positions of the maximum permissible areas of subtitles for 35mm and 16mm film distribution films" and IS()8567:2001 DIS file, which is a revision of GR/T5297-1985 "Position and sizes of subtitles for 35mm and 16mm film distribution films". The difference between the revised standard and GB/T 5297-1985 is that the height and width of the subtitles in the picture are specified, but their position is not limited. This is mainly due to the changes in the form of subtitles on the film screen, such as vertical text and Chinese and English bilingual subtitles. This standard has made special provisions for the position and size of the words and lyrics of the released film. Compared with GB/T 5297-1985, the size is moderately expanded. In 2001, ISO/TC: 36 revised ISO 8567:1986, and the main revision was to remove the tolerance of the reference value C. The main difference between this standard and the adopted international standard is that according to my country's national conditions, the specified position of the subtitles is given. This standard replaces GB/T 5297-1985 from the date of implementation. This standard was proposed by the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television. This standard was drafted by the China Film Science and Technology Research Institute. The drafter of this standard is Zhang Zhongping. This standard was first issued in 1985. This revision is the first revision. 1 Scope 35mm and 16mm film release subtitles The position and size of the maximum allowable area GB/T5297—2002 This standard specifies the position and size of the maximum allowable area of subtitles for 35mm and 116mm film release films.
