This standard specifies the instrumentation, specimens, test steps and result processing methods for the graphite adhesive bond shear strength test. This standard applies to the determination of the bond shear strength of graphite materials bonded by adhesives. Reference Standards GB/T13465.1 General Rules for Test Methods of Mechanical Properties of Impermeable Graphite Materials 3. Terminology 3.1 Graphite Adhesive - Phenolic graphite mastic or other suitable adhesives used to bond graphite materials. 3.2 Bonding Shear Strength - The shear force per unit bonding surface when the bonding surface is damaged by pure shear force when the graphite materials are bonded by adhesives. 4 Instruments and Equipment 4.1 Vernier Caliper: Range 0-150mm, Graduation 0.02mm 4.2 Material Testing Machine: The measuring plate accuracy is not less than Grade 1 or the error does not exceed ±1% 4.3 Loading Circle, as shown in Figure 1, is made of impermeable graphite material or other materials with suitable strength. 060

6.1 The outer diameter D of the inner adhesive part and the inner diameter d of the outer adhesive part are measured three times with a vernier caliper at a 60° angle on the cross section perpendicular to the axis of the tested part, and the average value is taken. 6.2 Measure the thickness of the outer adhesive part, along the generatrix direction and the circumferential direction, and measure three times at three equal points, and take the average value. 6.3 Select the appropriate test machine range so that the maximum shear load is within the range of 15~85% of the full range of the test machine. 6.4 Destroy the sample that has been processed to meet the requirements, together with the loading ring, on the test machine, adjust the position plate so that the axis of the sample coincides with the axis of the upper and lower pressure heads of the test machine, and the coaxiality tolerance is 0.5mm.
6.5 Slowly start the test machine, apply the load evenly and without impact at a speed of 40~50N/s until the sample is destroyed, and read the load value at the time of shear failure.
