This standard specifies the salt spray test method for basic environmental testing of electrical and electronic products. This standard is applicable to the assessment of the ability of materials and their protective layers to resist salt spray corrosion, as well as the comparison of the process quality of similar protective layers. It can also be used to assess the ability of certain products to resist salt spray corrosion. This standard is not applicable as a general corrosion test method. National Standard of the People's Republic of China Basic environmental testing procedures forelectric and elecironic productsTest Ka: Salt mist GB/T 2423. 17-—93 Replaces GB2423.1781 This standard is equivalent to IFC68-2-11Basic environmental testing proceduresTest Ka: Salt mist test method" (third edition in 1981). 1 Subject content and scope of application This standard specifies the salt spray test method for basic environmental testing of electric and electronic products. This standard is applicable to the ability of materials and their protective layers to resist salt spray corrosion, as well as the quality comparison of similar protective layers. It can also be used to assess the ability of certain products to resist salt spray corrosion. This standard is not applicable as a general corrosion test method. 2 Reference standards GB2421 General principles for basic environmental test procedures for electrical and electronic products GB2422 Terminology of basic environmental test procedures for electrical and electronic products GB2424.10 General guidelines for accelerated atmospheric corrosion tests for basic environmental test procedures for electrical and electronic products 3 Requirements for test equipment 3.1 The materials used to manufacture the test equipment must be resistant to salt spray corrosion and not affect the test results. 3.2 The conditions of the working space in the test equipment should be kept within the limits specified in Chapter 5 of this standard. 3.3 It has a large enough volume and can provide uniform test conditions, and these conditions are not affected by the test samples during the test. 3.4 Salt spray shall not be sprayed directly onto the test samples. 3.5 Condensate on the top and inner walls of the working space of the test equipment, as well as other parts, shall not drip onto the test samples. 3.6 The air pressure inside and outside the test equipment must be balanced. 4 Test solution 4.1 The salt solution is prepared with sodium chloride (chemically pure, analytically pure) and distilled water or deionized water, and its concentration is (5 ± 0.1)% (mass percentage). The collected liquid after atomization shall not be reused except for the part blocked by the baffle. 4.2 The pH value of the salt solution before atomization is between 6.5 and 7.2 (35 + 2 ° C). When preparing the salt solution, chemically pure dilute hydrochloric acid or sodium oxide solution can be used to adjust the pH value, but the liquid concentration must still comply with the provisions of Article 4.1. 5 Test conditions 5.1 The temperature in the working test space of the test equipment is 35 ± 2 ° C. 5.2 At any position in the working space, use a full bucket with an area of 80 cm to collect the salt mist precipitation for 16 hours of continuous atomization. On average, 1.0~2.0mL of solution is collected every hour. GB/T 2423.17-93 5.3 This standard adopts continuous atomization. The recommended test duration is 16, 24, 48, 96, 168, 336, 6725.4 During atomization, impurities such as oil, dust, and the temperature and humidity of the sprayed air must be prevented from affecting the test conditions of the working space. 6 Test procedures 6.1 Initial inspection Before the test, the test sample must be visually inspected. If necessary, other performance measurements can be made according to relevant standards. The surface of the test sample must be clean, free of oil, temporary protective layer and other defects. 6.2 Pretreatment According to the relevant standards, the test samples to be tested shall be cleaned. The cleaning method used shall not affect the effect of salt spray on the test samples. Before the test, try to avoid touching the surface of the test samples directly with your hands. 6.3 Conditional test 6.3.1 The placement of the test samples is specified by the relevant standards. Generally, they are placed according to their normal use status (including outer covers, etc.). Flat test samples must make the test surface form an angle of 30° with the vertical direction. 6.3.2 The test samples shall not contact each other. The distance between them should not affect the free landing of salt spray on the test samples, and the salt solution on one test sample shall not drip onto other test samples. 6.3.3 After the test sample is placed, the conditional test is carried out according to the test conditions specified in Chapter 5. The test duration is selected from the provisions of Article 5.3 according to the relevant standards. 6.4 Recovery After the test, the salt deposits on the surface of the test sample are gently washed away with running water, and then rinsed in distilled water. The washing water temperature shall not exceed 35°C, and then recovered for 1~2 hours under standard recovery atmospheric conditions, or according to other recovery conditions and recovery time specified in relevant standards. 6.5 Final inspection The recovered test sample should be inspected and tested in time and the results recorded. The inspection items, test result evaluation and qualified requirements are all specified by the relevant standards. Details to be given when citing this standardWww.bzxZ.net When the relevant standards adopt this test method, specific provisions should be made for the following items: a. Initial inspection (see Article 6.1 of this standard); b. Pretreatment (see Article 6.2 of this standard), c. Installation details (see Article 6.3 of this standard): d. Test duration (see Article 5.3 of this standard), e: recovery (see Article 6.4 of this standard); f. final test (see Article 6.5 of this standard).
