The Technical Conditions for Iron Waste Bins are formulated in accordance with the requirements of the Ministry of Construction's Document No. 214 (1992) "Regarding the 1992 Ministry of Construction Industrial Product Standard Measurement Procedures and Revision Project Plan". This standard is specially formulated because the specifications and shapes of waste produced in various parts of the country are inconsistent, the materials are different, there is no unified standard, and they cannot be interchanged, which affects the use of supporting facilities and does not meet the needs of industry technology. Relevant domestic and foreign data were referenced during the formulation of the standard. This standard specifies the definition, model, basic parameters and technical requirements of waste bins for public places. This standard applies to iron waste bins located in outdoor public places, and waste bins made of other materials and indoor waste bins can be implemented as a reference. This standard does not apply to special containers such as garbage containers, garbage cans, and garbage buckets. Approved by the Ministry of Construction of the People's Republic of China on February 20, 1998, and implemented on August 1, 1998. 5 Model and Marking 5.1 Model The model of the waste bin consists of type, material, main parameter, and improvement or variant code. a) The type code is represented by the uppercase printed Chinese phonetic letter G (fixed) and Y (mobile); b) The material code is represented by the uppercase printed Chinese phonetic letter Z (cast iron), T (carbon steel), and B (stainless steel); c) The main parameter refers to the nominal volume (L), which is represented by Arabic numerals; d) The improvement or variant code is represented by A, B, C.. 1. Improvement and variant code Main parameter code 5.2 Marking example T Carbon steel -B: Stainless steel G Fixed type Y: Movable type F: Waste bin FG·T—110 indicates a fixed carbon steel waste bin with a nominal volume of 110L. 6 Basic parameters 6.1 Nominal volume series: 90L, 110L, 125L. 6.2 Effective volume: should not be less than 75% of the nominal volume, preferably 70L, 85L, 100L series. 6.3 The allowable error of volume is ±3%. 6.4 The plate thickness of steel parts should not be less than 1.5mm, the plate thickness of stainless steel parts should not be less than 0.8mm, and the plate thickness of cast iron parts should not be less than 6mm. 6.5 The total height of the box body should not be greater than 1000mm. 6.6 The height from the lower edge of the input port to the ground should not be less than 600mm. 6.7 The short side dimension of the input port should not be less than 110mm; the diameter of the circular port should not be less than 150mm. 6.8 The rectangular dimension of the discharge port should not be less than 200mm×250mm (see Figure 1a, b) Figure 1 Discharge port Engineering Construction Standard Full-text Information System TKAONTKAca- Engineering Construction Standard Full-text Information System The bottom of the waste bin with a discharge port should be set with an inclined surface with an angle of not less than 10° with the bottom edge plane (horizontal plane) (see Figure 2). Box Inclined surface Discharge fork Bottom edge plane horizontal plane) Figure 2 Inclined surface 7 Technical requirements 7.1 General technical requirements 7.1.1 Waste bins shall be manufactured in accordance with drawings and technical documents approved by the prescribed procedures. 7.1.2 Waste bins are composed of top cover (plate), box (cylinder) body, base (or bracket), etc. The design should have a reasonable structure, beautiful shape, and reliable performance; the standardization, generalization and serialization level of the product should be improved. 7.1.3 The main body of the box should be a simple geometric body. 7.1.4 The waste bin should have sufficient strength and rigidity, and should not be significantly deformed under certain external force collision and extrusion. 7.1.5 It is not allowed to make or attach spittoons and ashtrays on the top cover (plate) of the waste bin, and the top cover should be smooth and free of water accumulation. 7.1.6 For waste bins that use plastic bags to store waste, a container for placing plastic bags or a device for fixing plastic bags should be installed inside the bin.
