This standard refers to the technical requirements of ISONET MANUALS and is formulated by supplementing the metadata applicable to the construction of domestic standard document resources in combination with the characteristics of my country's standard management and information retrieval. This standard specifies the basic metadata of standard document data sets, and gives the definition and representation methods of standard document core metadata and public metadata. This standard applies to the processing, sorting, database construction, compilation, publication and query of various standard document data sets. Standard document metadata is one of the necessary conditions for realizing standard document data sharing and is an effective way to discover and obtain various standardization information resources. Standardizing the content, identification, quality, status and related characteristics of standard document metadata will be beneficial to: - Effective management and maintenance of original data by standard document data construction units at all levels; - Users can quickly find the standard documents they need through query and retrieval; - Promote the standardization and standardization of data processing and improve the quality of database construction and maintenance of standard document databases; - Realize the sharing of standard document information resources in a wider range. Note: A dataset can be physically a smaller group of data in a larger dataset. Theoretically, a dataset can be as small as a single feature or feature attribute in a larger dataset. A hard copy map or chart can be considered as a dataset. The dataset referred to in this standard is a dataset that cannot be further subdivided, that is, a collection of data that can be uniquely described using a data dictionary. 3.2 Dataset series dataset series A combination of multiple datasets on the same subject that conform to the same product specification. 3.3 metadata Metadata Data that defines and describes other data. Metadata element metadataelement The basic unit of metadata. Note: Synonymous with attribute in UML terminology. GB/T22373—2008 Metadata entitymetadataentity A group of metadata elements that describe the same characteristics of data. Note 1: Synonymous with "class" in UML terminology. Note 2: May contain one or more metadata entities. 3.6 metadata section A subset of metadata, consisting of related metadata entities and elements. Note: Synonymous with "package" in UML terminology. 3.7 resource An asset or e.g., dataset, service, document Core metadata a center in a specific field metadats an office or organization. Metadata entities and dataless elements used to describe data selected. 3.9 Open metadata Working with common non- data standards in the field to be determined Description Analysis of the content and form characteristics of the document 4 Standardized bibliographic metadata description method This standard uses definitions 4.1 Abstract representation Abstract representation uses identifiers 4.1.1 Identifiers The process of selecting and recording names, numbers, and constraints/conditions to describe metadata. Uniqueness of metadata elements 4.1.2 Name A name is a tag assigned to a metadata entity or metadata element. KNKa- quE-ei-aC-eC-ae-Craac-CEC-Neca-KANiKAaData is the entire content of metadata that must be selected when formulating its metadata standard. It is the domain in which the metadata entity name begins with an uppercase letter. There are no spaces in the metadata entity name, but multiple words are written in succession, where each new word begins with an uppercase letter (such as: XnnnYmmm). Metadata entity names are unique in the data dictionary of this standard. Metadata element names are unique in metadata entities, but not unique in the data dictionary of this standard. By combining metadata entity and metadata element names, metadata element names can be made unique in an application (such as: metadata.metadata character set). 4.1.3 Constraints/Conditions Attributes selected by metadata entities or metadata elements, including mandatory (M), optional (O) and conditional mandatory (C). See Table 1 for constraint/condition codes. Conditions are mandatory 4.2 Dictionary representation Table 1 Constraint/condition codes Indicates that the metadata entity or metadata element must be selectedTKAONiKAa= quE-ei-aC-eC-ae-Craac-CEC-Neca-iKANiKAaCB/T22373—2008 Metadata entities or metadata elements that can be selected or not selected according to actual applications. The defined optional metadata entities and optional metadata elements can guide the field metadata standard setters to fully describe their data. Optional metadata entities can have mandatory elements: but these elements become mandatory only when the optional entity is selected. If a reachable metadata entity is not selected, the elements contained in the entity (including mandatory elements) do not select the condition for selecting the metadata entity or element. When the condition is met, at least one metadata entity or metadata element is mandatory. "Conditionally required" is used for one of the following three possibilities: 6) Indicates a choice among one or more metadata entities or metadata elements. At least one metadata entity or metadata element is required. 7) This metadata entity or metadata element is required when another metadata entity or metadata element has been selected. This metadata element is required when another metadata element has already selected a specific value. The data dictionary describes the characteristic attributes of metadata in a table. The grayed-out rows in the dictionary define data entities. The data dictionary defines metadata entities and metadata elements through the following six attributes. 4.2.1 Name See 4.1.2. 4.2.2 Definition Describes the basic content of metadata. 4.2.3 English name The English name of metadata, generally in full English. 4.2.4 Data type The valid value range of metadata and the provisions for valid operations on values within the value range. For example, integer, real, Boolean, character, date, etc. 4.2.5 Value Domain For metadata entities, the domain describes the number of rows it contains. For metadata elements, the domain describes its valid values or uses plain text. "Plain text" indicates that there is no restriction on the content of the field. Domain values containing code tables should be represented using integer-based codes. 4.2.6 Notes 4.2.6.1 Constraints/Conditions See 4.1.3. 4.2.6.2 Maximum Occurrences The maximum number of instances a metadata entity or metadata element can have. "1" is used to represent only one occurrence, and "N" is used to represent repeated occurrences. Fixed occurrences that are not "1" are represented by corresponding numbers, such as "2", "3", "4", etc. 5 Standard Document Metadata Schema Standard document metadata consists of standard document core metadata and standard document common metadata. Standard document core metadata is the basis of all kinds of standard document metadata standards. All kinds of standard document metadata standards should include standard document core metadata, and can be expanded and reduced based on the public metadata of standard documents according to the characteristics of fields and professions. 6 Standard document core metadata 6.1 Summary of standard document core metadata Standard document core metadata elements are mandatory or conditionally mandatory metadata elements (i.e., data elements) in standard document metadata subsets and entities, which can be used for standard document dataset cataloging, data exchange website activities and description of datasets.
