sleeper
This standard applies to ordinary sleepers, turnout sleepers and bridge sleepers of standard railway gauge (gauge 1435mm). 1 Tree species
GB154-1984
1.1 Ordinary sleepers and turnout sleepers: elm, birch, oak, storage wood, liquidambar, poplar, larch, masson pine, Yunnan pine, spruce, fir, hemlock and other suitable broad-leaved tree species (poplar is not used as turnout sleepers) 1.2 Bridge sleepers: larch, Chinese pine, Simao pine, alpine pine, Yunnan pine, spruce, fir, hemlock, Korean pine and other tree species. 2 Size
2.1, the size of ordinary sleepers and turnout sleepers is shown in Table 1. Table 1

Length, m
2.60~4.80
Note: The length of turnout sleepers is upgraded by 0.2m and must be supplied in matching. 2.2 The size of bridge sleepers is shown in Table 2.

Note: ①The sawn surface of the bottom of the turnout sleeper shall not be less than 22cm. Cross-sectional shape and size, cm
②The maximum size of the blunt edge of the bridge sleeper shall not be greater than the size specified in the cross-sectional shape in Table 3. 4See Table 4 for the track laying range of the sleeper surface of various sleepers. Table 4

Applicable grades of various sleepers
The length of the part 30 to 70 cm from the end of each end is 35 cm less from the end of each end, and the length of the middle part is 55 cm less from the end of each end. The length of the middle part is shown in Table 5. 5
Within the track-laying range of the sleeper surface, the maximum size shall not exceed the allowable slight decay of only one end, and the area of the sleeper length shall not exceed the allowable slight decay of the end surface area, and the area shall not exceed the longitudinal crack of the material surface area, the length of the outer skin shall not exceed
The wheel crack, the chord length of the inner skin shall not exceed
The longitudinal bend shall not exceed (1% of the first and second grade turnout sleepers) and the transverse bend shall not exceed
The number within the track-laying range of each sleeper surface shall not exceed ordinary sleepers and turnout sleepers, which are applicable to the first and second grades, and the bridge sleepers are applicable to the first grade.
Inspection method
The inspection and measurement of the cross-sectional dimensions of the sleepers shall be based on the dimensions measured within the track-laying range. The sleeper surface and sleeper bottom within the track-laying range of the sleepers shall be based on the dimensional tolerances specified in Table 3. Allowable limit
Outside the rail laying range of sleepers, unsawn parts are allowed, but the width and thickness shall not exceed twice the allowable tolerance limit of the size. The knots and insect damage defects in the sleepers are limited only within the rail laying range of the sleeper surface, and are not limited in other parts. For cracks, bark, bending and decay defects, they should be calculated in any part of the sleeper. Check the end face decay depth, and measure it perpendicular to the ruler with a ruler flat against the end face. Or use a sampling drill to check and measure. Second Class
7.71 Type ordinary sleepers should be downgraded to Type II when the width or thickness exceeds the negative deviation limit. 7.8 Sleeper volume calculation, ordinary sleepers are calculated by root converted to cubic meters; bridge sleepers and turnout sleepers are calculated by cubic meters, and the single material volume can be found in GB44984 "Sawn Timber Volume Table". 7.9 The rating of sleepers shall be based on the most serious wood defect. The interpretation and measurement methods of defects, except those specified in this standard, shall be in accordance with GB155.1~155.384, GB4823.1~4823.384 wood defects and GB4822.1~4822.3-84 sawn timber inspection. Additional remarks:
This standard was proposed by the Ministry of Forestry of the People's Republic of China. This standard was drafted by the sawn timber standard drafting group.
