1 Scope
This part of GB/T 38003 specifies the principles and methods for the classification of personnel in general military and civilian resources, the principles, methods and code structure for coding, and provides a personnel classification code table.
GB/T 38003.5 is applicable to the processing and exchange of personnel information in general military and civilian resources.

3 Terms and definitions
The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 10113-2003 and GB/T 37936-2019 and the following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1
Method of linear classification
Classification objects are divided into several levels according to several selected attributes (or characteristics), and each level is divided into several categories. The categories of the same level of the same branch form a parallel relationship, and the categories of different levels form a subordinate relationship.

4 Classification principles and methods
4.1 Classification principles
The classification of personnel in military and civilian common resources shall follow the following principles:
a) Adapt to the human resources positions of national defense mobilization;
b) Follow the classification principles determined by GB/T 6565-2015.
4.2 Classification methods
The classification of personnel in military and civilian common resources adopts the linear classification method.
5 Coding principles, methods and code structure
5.1 Coding principles
The classification code of personnel in military and civilian common resources shall follow the coding requirements of GB/T 37936-2019.
5.2 Coding method
The personnel classification code in the military and civilian common resources adopts a 7-digit alphanumeric code, where: the first letter "T" represents the classification code that is not directly quoted from the United Nations Standard Products and Services Code (UNSPSC); the last 6 digits are hierarchical coded and divided into 3 layers, each layer uses 2 Arabic numerals to represent the major category, medium category and minor category respectively; the major category code ranges from 01 to 19, 19 represents the accommodation category.
This part specifies the classification principles and methods of personnel in the military and civilian common resources, the coding principles, methods and code structure, and provides a personnel classification code table. This part is applicable to the processing and exchange of personnel information in the military and civilian common resources.
