Some standard content:

GB18099-2000
The technical content of this standard is equivalent to the technical regulation ECER91 (effective in June 1993) formulated by the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe, "Uniform Provisions on the Certification of Side Marker Lamps for Motor Vehicles and Their Trailers" (E/ECE/324, E/ECE/TRANS/505, Rev.1/Add.90, 15July1993). The main technical differences from ECER91 are: in order to be consistent with the technical requirements of GB4785, the minimum geometric visibility angle and the geometric visibility diagram requirements of SM1 and SM2 lamps are not specified.
In order to make the test more accurate and fair, the sentence 4.3.2.3 "Except the direction of the reference axis" is added. According to actual needs, the requirements of Regulation 2.4 on the uniformity of the area within the grid are not adopted. This standard is proposed by the Ministry of Machinery Industry of the People's Republic of China. This standard is under the jurisdiction of the National Automobile Standardization Technical Committee. This standard is drafted by the National Passenger Car Quality Supervision and Inspection Center. The main drafters of this standard are Liu Xin and Xuan Yi. 223

This standard adopts the following definitions. The definitions in GB4785 standard apply to this standard. Side marker lamps
Lights that indicate the presence of a vehicle when viewed from the side of the vehicle. 4 Technical requirements
4.1 General provisions
4.1.1 The design and manufacture of side marker lamps should ensure that they can meet the use requirements and comply with the requirements of 4.3 under normal use conditions even if they are subject to vibration.
4.1.2: The light color and chromaticity characteristics of side marker lamps should comply with the relevant provisions of GB4785. 4.2 Provisions on light sources
4.2.1 Replaceable side marker lamps should comply with the relevant provisions of GB15766.1. 4.2.2 The nominal voltage of non-bulb-replaceable side marker lamps is 12V or 24V, and its photoelectric parameters shall be agreed upon by the manufacturer and the user. 4.3 Light distribution performance
The luminous intensity of side marker lamps shall comply with the provisions of Table 1: 4.3.1
Side marker lamp type
Direction of reference axis
Minimum luminous intensity
Geometric visibility minimum angle range
(Except the direction of reference axis)
Maximum luminous intensity
Approved by the State Administration of Quality and Technical Supervision on May 11, 2000 224
Implementation on January 1, 2001
For multi-light source lamps:
GB 18099—2000
When any one light source fails, it shall still meet the minimum luminous intensity requirements; when all light sources are lit, the maximum luminous intensity shall not exceed the specified value.
4.3.2 The minimum geometric visibility angle of each side marker lamp shall comply with the provisions of GB4785, and the luminous intensity shall comply with the following provisions: 4.3.2.1 The luminous intensity of SM1 side marker lamps in each measuring direction shown in Figure 1 and SM2 side marker lamps in each measuring direction shown in Figure 2 shall not be less than the minimum value specified in Table 1. The degrees in the figure are the horizontal angle and vertical angle with the hh, V-line. 10°
Figure 1 SM1 side marker light distribution table
Figure 2 SM2 side marker light distribution table
4.3.2.2 The luminous intensity of the side marker lamps in any visible direction shall not be greater than the maximum value specified in Table 1. 30°
4.3.2.3 For SM1 and SM2 side marker lamps, the inspection agency may select 5 points for measurement at random in addition to the reference axis direction when conducting the inspection.
5 Test method
5.1 The darkroom, devices and equipment for the test shall comply with the provisions of GB4599. 5.2 Voltage or luminous flux during photometric measurement
5.2.1 For non-lamp-replaceable lamps, the measurement shall be carried out at a voltage of 13.5V or 28.0V. 5.2.2 For lamps with replaceable lamps, the corresponding standard lamps shall be used and the measurement shall be carried out at the reference luminous flux of the type of lamp specified in GB15766.1.
5.3 Before the photometric test, the lamp shall be ignited at the voltage used during the test so that its optical performance tends to be stable. The distance of the photometric test shall ensure the application of the inverse square law of distance.
5.4 Observed from the reference center of the lamp, the opening angle of the light receiver shall be within the range of 10° to 1°. 5.5 The angular deviation of each measuring direction shall not be greater than 15'. 5.6 The directions of H-0° and V-0° coincide with the reference axis (on the vehicle, it is a horizontal line perpendicular to the longitudinal center plane of the vehicle and points to the required visible direction) and pass through the reference center. 5.7 Photometric measurement of multi-light source lamps
5.7.1 For non-bulb replacement or other light sources: 225
GB 18099-2000
Check the photometric performance at the voltage specified by the manufacturer. The laboratory may require the manufacturer to provide the special power supply required for this type of lamp. 5.7.2 For bulb replacement light sources:
When testing with mass-produced bulbs, at 13.5V or 28.0V, its luminous intensity should be between the minimum and maximum values specified in Table 1, and corrected according to the luminous flux deviation of the bulb used as specified in Chapter 5 of GB15766.1-1995; or, standard bulbs can be used in turn at each bulb position, measured at the specified reference luminous flux and accumulated. 5.8 When checking the chromaticity characteristics, the color temperature of the light source is 2856K, which is equivalent to the light source A recommended by the International Commission on Illumination. However, for non-bulb-replaceable side marker lamps, the light source voltage should be set to 13.5V or 28.0V when checking the chromaticity characteristics. 6 Inspection rules
6.1 Determination of different types of side marker lamps
If there are differences in the following main aspects, they are considered to be different types: 6.1.1 Product name or trademark;
6.1.2 Characteristics of the optical system (luminous intensity level, etc.); 6.1.3 Type of bulb used;
6.1.4 Structure and shape of the side marker lamp.
6.2 Standard bulbs should be used to inspect the photometric performance of bulb-replaceable side marker lamps. In case of objections, it is allowed to replace the standard bulbs and re-measure. 6.3 The bulbs used in side marker lamps should be certified products. Before the bulbs are certified, they should be products confirmed by special testing agencies designated by relevant national authorities.
6.4 Side marker lamps applying for certification shall be subject to type inspection and product consistency inspection. 6.5 Type inspection
6.5.1 The requirements for determining the same type of side marker lamps are shown in 6.1. 6.5.2 For products applying for certification, the manufacturer shall provide: 6.5.2.1 Three copies of drawings (which may be different from the production drawings) sufficient to identify the characteristics of the type of lamp, including the detailed characteristic structure of the light distribution mirror, and indicating the reference axis (H=0°, V=0°), the reference center and the geometric position of the lamp installed on the vehicle, 6.5.2.2 Two sample lamps (bulb-replaceable side marker lamps shall include bulbs). 6.5.3 Each sample lamp shall comply with the provisions of 4.1 and 4.2. 6.5.4 Test according to the test method in Chapter 5, and each sample lamp shall comply with the provisions of 4.3. 6.6 Product consistency test
6.6.1 For products that have passed the type test, the consistency of the products shall be determined by randomly selected sample lamps. 6.6.2 Each sample lamp shall comply with the provisions of 4.1 and 4.2. 6.6.3 According to the test method in Chapter 5, the randomly selected sample lamps shall comply with the provisions of 4.3. However, the minimum value of the photometric performance is relaxed to 80% of the prescribed value, and the maximum value is 120% of the prescribed value. bZxz.net
