Introduction to standards:

This standard replaces GB/T 10461-1989 from the date of implementation. This standard is a revision of GB/T 10461-1989 "Azuki beans". This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification, quality requirements and hygiene requirements, inspection methods, inspection rules, labeling, and packaging, storage and transportation requirements of azuki beans. This standard applies to commercial azuki beans that are purchased, stored, transported, processed and sold, and does not apply to precious varieties of azuki beans. The main technical differences between this standard and GB/T 10461-1989 are as follows: - The scope of application, referenced standards, terms and definitions of the original standard have been revised; - The classification of azuki beans has been revised; - The moisture requirements in the quality requirements of azuki beans have been revised; - Inspection rules have been added; - Regulations on labeling have been added; - Requirements for the packaging, storage and transportation of azuki beans have been put forward. 1 Scope

The following terms and definitions apply to this standard. 3.1
Small bean
The seeds of the cultivated pods of the leguminous herbaceous plant, oval or oblong, with red, white, green and other colors of seed coat. 3.2

The mass fraction of the adzuki beans (of which the imperfect ones are calculated as half) removed from the sample. 3.3

According to the color of the seed coat of adzuki beans, it is divided into four categories: 4.1 Red adzuki beans: adzuki beans with red seed coat, not less than 97%. 4.2 White adzuki beans: adzuki beans with white seed coat, not less than 95%. 4.3 Green adzuki beans: adzuki beans with green seed coat, not less than 95%. 4.4 Mixed adzuki beans: adzuki beans that do not meet the requirements of 1.1 to 4.3. 5 Quality requirements and hygiene requirements
5.1 Quality requirements
The quality requirements of various types of adzuki beans are shown in Table 1. Among them, the pure grain rate is a fixed index. 2

Color, smell
7.2 Inspection lot is adzuki beans of different species, origin, harvest year, transportation unit and storage unit. 7.3 Judgment rules: Pure grain rate shall meet the requirements of the corresponding grade in Table 1, and other indicators shall be implemented in accordance with relevant national regulations. If the pure grain rate is lower than 10-3 grades, and other indicators meet the requirements of this standard, it shall be judged as off-grade adzuki beans. 8 Labels and Identification
8.1 The small H label for pre-packaged sales shall comply with the provisions of GB7718. 8.2 For non-retail adzuki beans, the name, category, grade, origin, weight, production date and manufacturer of the product shall be indicated on the packaging or accompanying documents.
9 Packaging, Storage and Transportation
9.1 Packaging
It shall comply with the requirements of GB/T17109. The packaging shall be clean, firm, without damage, with tight and strong mouth, and shall not leak; it shall not cause pollution and abnormal odor to the product.
9.2 Storage
It shall be stored in a clean, dry, rainproof, moisture-proof, insect-proof, rodent-proof and odor-free warehouse, and shall not be mixed with toxic and harmful substances or substances with high water content.
9.3 Transportation
It shall be transported using transportation vehicles and containers that meet sanitary requirements, and care shall be taken to prevent rain and contamination during transportation. GB/T 10461-2008
