Meteorological condition of terrestrial vegetation growth The condition of meteorological factors such as heat, moisture, and sunshine that affect the growth of terrestrial vegetation. Meteorological condition index of terrestrial vegetation growth A quantitative value calculated based on meteorological factors such as light, temperature, and water that reflects the degree to which meteorological conditions are favorable to the growth of terrestrial vegetation.

The larger the value, the better the vegetation ecological quality. 3 Monitoring and evaluation methods and levels 3.1 Monitoring and evaluation content The monitoring and evaluation content includes four parts: meteorological conditions for terrestrial vegetation growth and net primary productivity of vegetation, vegetation coverage, and vegetation ecological quality. QX/T494—2019 Meteorological conditions for terrestrial vegetation growth 3.2.1 Thermal conditions The thermal conditions for terrestrial vegetation growth are expressed as the percentage deviation of the annual or growing season active accumulated temperature from the norm.
