NY/T1294—2007
Coarse grains are important food crops and economic crops in my country. They play a very important role in improving the living standards of the Chinese people and grain export trade. Since then, many standards for coarse grains have been formulated, mainly involving seed quality and grain quality. However, the classification standards for coarse grains have not yet been formulated. The terms are mostly scattered in some plant and crop standards and some grain processing terminology standards formulated by the former Ministry of Commerce, such as the standards "Classification and Code of National Plants" (GB/T14467-1993), "National Major Product Classification and Code Part 1: Transportable Products" (GB7635.1-2002), "Sorghum" (GB8231-1987) and "Millet (Millet)" (GB8232-1987). These standards have played an important role in the production, processing, trade and management of grains. However, with the scale of grain production, diversification of uses, quality improvement of products and digital management, it is necessary to formulate classification and terminology standards for grain crops. This standard is an important basic standard of the grain crop standard system. It establishes a classification system for the economic uses of grain crops and provides a wide range of terms related to the economic uses of cereal grain crops. This is of great significance for building a complete system of grain crop classification and terminology in my country and standardizing the production, processing and trade of major grains. In the design of the system structure of this standard, the classification position of the main grain crops and other coarse grain crops is taken into consideration. Therefore, the codes of cereal grain crops start from "11" to "29", and the codes "01" to "10" are reserved for the main grain crops. The codes after "29" can be used to encode other coarse grain crops.
1 Scope
Classification and terminology of cereal grain crops
This standard specifies the classification and terminology of cereal grain crops. This standard is applicable to the production, trade and information management and exchange of cereal grain crops. 2 Classification
2.1 Classification principles
NY/T1294—2007
The basis for the classification of cereal grain crops is firstly the importance of cultivation or production in production; secondly, the economic use of the crop. 2.2 Classification system
Based on the classification principle, a classification system of cereal crops is formed. The system has two classification aspects: crops and categories. 2.2.1 Crop classification aspect
Including 12 crops and the included category "other cereal crops", the codes and crop names are shown in Table 1. Table 1 Crop codes and names

Other cereal crops
Cereal crops are divided into 6 categories and the included category "other categories" according to their uses. The codes and names of the use categories are shown in Table 2. Table 2 Use category codes and names

2.3 Coding method

Other categories
The code for the use of crops adopts a combination code, which consists of 4 digits. The first two digits are the crop code and the last two digits are the use category code. For example, the code for barley is "1302" 2.4 Classification category table
