Verification procedure for raw cotton moisture meter
This procedure applies to the initial verification, subsequent verification and in-service inspection of resistance-type raw cotton moisture meter. The requirements for metrological characteristics of type evaluation can refer to this procedure. 2 References

Cotton moisture refers to the water molecules contained in cotton fibers. The amount of water in cotton is usually expressed by moisture content or regain. Moisture content refers to the percentage of the mass of water contained in the fiber to the mass of wet fiber, and regain refers to the percentage of the mass of water contained in the fiber to the mass of dry fiber. GB1103-2007 "Cotton Fine Staple Cotton" and GB/T6102.2---2009 "Test Method for Moisture Regain of Raw Cotton - Electric Detector Method" both use regain to express cotton moisture. The raw cotton moisture meter (hereinafter referred to as the meter) is an instrument that uses the law of negative correlation between the resistance value of cotton fiber and its regain to measure the mass specific resistance of cotton fiber and indirectly measure the regain of cotton fiber under certain conditions of fiber quantity, pressure, voltage, temperature and test area. 4. 5.1 Appearance

6.1.2. Measuring standard instruments and main supporting equipment The standard equipment for calibrating the raw cotton moisture meter is the comprehensive calibrator, which is a special cotton moisture meter calibration instrument, including DC voltmeter, standard resistance box, special force measuring standard, standard thermometer and other instruments. Its various functional indicators should meet the requirements of 6.1.21 to 6.121 respectively. Each measuring standard should be qualified after verification

6.2.1 Appearance and component inspection

The appearance and component inspection shall be carried out in accordance with the requirements of Chapter 5. 6.2.2 Compression force verification
Place the force sensor at the center between the two plates. When the compression force of the measuring instrument reaches the set value of 735N, read the value of the comprehensive calibrator (force standard instrument) and repeat the measurement 3 times: the average value of the compression force shall comply with Article 4.1.
6.2.3 DC working voltage verification
Connect the positive pole of the DC voltmeter to the output terminal of the measuring instrument, and the negative pole to the ground, so that the verification switch is in the voltage verification and working state, and measure the voltage alternately for 3 times. The average value of the readings should comply with Article 4.2. 6.2.4 Moisture regain indication error verification NOHDNIHSTH Insert the two connecting lines of the comprehensive calibration instrument (special standard resistance box) into the external measurement socket of the instrument, turn on the power supply: when the measuring instrument is in the low gear or high gear calibration state, turn the knob of the special standard resistance box of the comprehensive calibration instrument to 3% to 13% respectively. 6.2.5 Verification of temperature error

Measure the room temperature in the air quality chamber and observe the indications of the comprehensive tester (thermometer) and the measuring instrument. The error should meet the requirements of Article 4.4.

6.3.1. The instrument that passes the calibration will be issued with a calibration certificate.
