This standard specifies the product classification, technical requirements, test methods and inspection rules of shipboard cargo hook blocks (hereinafter referred to as blocks). This standard applies to shipboard cargo hook blocks. 2 Product Classification
2.1 Blocks are divided into Type A hook blocks and Type B hook blocks according to the different types of hooks used with them. The structural type and basic dimensions of 2.2A type hook block shall be in accordance with Figure 1 and Table 1. The structural type and basic dimensions of 2.3B type hook block shall be in accordance with Figure 2 and Table 1. 3 Technical requirements
Material of main parts of pulley shall be as specified in Table 2.

3.3 The surface of metal parts shall be free of defects such as burrs, cracks, rust, etc. that affect strength, and the outer sharp edges of parts shall be rounded. 3.4 The machined surface of castings shall not have defects such as sand holes, pores, shrinkage holes, cracks and looseness, and the non-machined surface shall not have defects that affect strength. 3.5 The surface of forgings (including hooks) should be smooth and should not have burrs, cracks, folds, overburning and defects that reduce strength. Welding repair is not allowed for defects. Forged parts must be normalized. 3.6 The pulley shaft must be tempered and its hardness is HB217~255. 3.7 The exposed surface of the pulley should be painted, the surface of the pulley rope groove should be painted with varnish or silver powder paint, and the non-processed surface should be painted with primer and topcoat; before painting, all parts should be cleaned and painted evenly, without defects such as paint leakage, bubbles, shrinkage and shedding, and the friction surface should be coated with lubricating grease. 4

3.8 After the pulley is assembled, check the pulley, fork, hook and other movable parts. The rotation must be flexible and there must be no jamming. 3.9 After the pulley is assembled, a static load test should be carried out, and the test load is 4 times the safe working load. Test method
The static load test shall be carried out according to the test load and loading method specified in Table 3. The test load time shall not be less than 5min. After unloading, check each load-bearing component. No permanent deformation or any defects shall occur. The movable components shall rotate flexibly. Table 3

5 Inspection rules
Each block must be inspected by the product quality inspection department of the manufacturer in accordance with the requirements of this standard. After the product passes the inspection and is verified by the ship inspection department, it can be shipped out of the factory and a product certificate of conformity shall be issued. 6 Marking, packaging, storage
6.1Each block shall have a product label, which shall indicate the following: a.
Product name;
Product mark;
Safe working load;
Maximum diameter of the steel rope;
Manufacturer name or mark, date of manufacture. 6.2 Each block shall be marked with a ship inspection mark on the shell. 6.3 Packaging and storage
The product packaging must be firm, moisture-proof, and able to meet the requirements of multiple loading and unloading and long-distance transportation. The block must be stored in a ventilated and dry room.
