Some standard content:

GB/T15657—1995
Disease classification has become a tool for statistical classification of diseases, injuries and causes of death. The use of unified disease classification and codes is a basic work of medical quality control and hospital management; it is indispensable for medical and health unit medical record management, health statistics, improving medical quality and teaching level, and conducting scientific research; it is also an important basis for each country to formulate policies in welfare, administration, population, medical care, and health care. It reflects the medical management level of each country from one aspect. In 1981, the Chinese government decided to use the International Classification of Diseases (ICD-9) in the national health department. However, in the long-term medical practice, Chinese medicine has formed a theoretical system and syndrome differentiation and treatment rules with its own characteristics, and the International Classification of Diseases cannot be used. Therefore, it is urgent to establish a unified, scientific, practical, and TCM disease classification and code system that conforms to the TCM academic theory system as soon as possible to meet the needs of TCM medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, health statistics, medical record management, publishing, and domestic and foreign academic exchanges, so as to improve the quality of TCM medical treatment, promote academic development, strengthen exchanges and integration with international medicine, and make TCM go to the world with a new look.
The classification of diseases in traditional Chinese medicine was first seen in the Yellow Emperor's Classic of Internal Medicine in the Warring States Period, which has a history of more than 2,000 years. With the development of TCM, TCM's understanding and classification of diseases have gradually deepened. However, due to various reasons, a relatively standardized classification system of disease names has not been formed for a long time, which has affected the development of TCM to a certain extent. According to the instructions of the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, under the direct guidance of the Department of Medical Administration and the Department of Science and Technology, the National Information Management Center of Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospitals organized specialized personnel to conduct a large number of investigations on TCM academic theoretical literature and clinical case records, and refer to the "Standards for Diagnosis and Efficacy of TCM Diseases and Syndromes" and other documents, and repeatedly analyzed and studied them, and proposed to classify and code them in a parallel manner. After being demonstrated and revised by relevant experts and professors across the country, this standard was formulated after clinical verification by some TCM hospitals across the country. In view of the high technical nature of disease classification, the profound TCM academic theory and rich experience, we need to continue to explore, enrich and improve it unremittingly.
Appendix A of this standard is the appendix of the standard.
This standard is proposed and managed by the Department of Medical Administration of the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine. This standard was drafted by: National Information Management Center of Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospitals of State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine. The main drafters of this standard are: Chen Youbang, Pan Xiaoqin, Jin Disheng, Zhang Ruhong, Mao Shusong, Zhang Qi, Yang Qinjian, Shao Qihong, Duan Xiaozhu, Wen Jianhua, Shen Shaowu.
This standard is entrusted to the National Information Management Center of Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospitals of State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine for interpretation. 1 Scope

ZY/T001.1~001.9—94 Standards for the diagnosis and treatment of diseases and syndromes in TCM 3 Terminology and symbols
3.1 Terminology
3.1.1 Classification of diseases and syndromes in TCM
Classification of diseases and syndromes in TCM is a method of classifying various diseases and syndromes in TCM into categories and systems according to certain established principles. 3.2 Symbols
3.2.1 Parentheses “()”
The words in parentheses belong to the same attribute category as the words before the parentheses and use the same attribute category code. 3.2.2 Dashes\
The content after the dash is a further explanation of the content before the dash. 4 Compilation principles
Classification of diseases and syndromes in TCM
The clinical diagnosis of TCM requires that after the diagnosis of the disease name, its syndrome must be determined to guide clinical treatment. Therefore, diseases and syndromes in TCM are two important and inseparable components of TCM diagnosis and treatment. Based on this, this standard stipulates that disease names and syndromes should be classified separately. 4.1.1 Principles of disease name classification
This standard stipulates that the classification of disease names should be classified and categorized according to the clinical department and specialty system to which the disease belongs. 4.1.1.1 Department categories
This standard stipulates that the department categories of disease names are internal medicine, surgery, gynecology, pediatrics, ophthalmology, otolaryngology, and orthopedics, totaling seven categories (see Table 1).
4.1.1.2 Specialty system classification categories
This standard stipulates that the specialty system classification categories of disease names are classified according to the secondary specialty divisions in the disease name categories (see Table 2). 4.1.2 Principles of syndrome classification
This standard stipulates that syndrome classification is classified according to the syndrome differentiation system of traditional Chinese medicine; syndrome classification is carried out according to the syndrome attributes in each category. Approved by the State Administration of Technical Supervision on July 25, 1995 350
Implementation on January 1, 1996
4.1.2.1 Syndrome categories
GB/T15657—1995
This standard divides syndrome categories into six categories: etiology, yin and yang, qi, blood, body fluids, phlegm, viscera and meridians, six meridians, and Wei Qi, Ying Qi, and blood (see Table 4), and stipulates that some syndromes with unclear attributes that cannot be classified temporarily shall be classified into "other syndrome categories". 4.1.2.2 Syndrome categories
This standard stipulates that the classification of syndromes shall be based on the first connotation attribute of the syndrome (see Table 5). 4.1.2.3 Syndrome subcategories
This standard stipulates that the subcategories of syndromes are classified according to the second connotation attribute of the syndrome (see Table 5). 4.2 TCM disease classification coding
4.2.1 Disease name classification coding method
This standard stipulates that the disease name classification coding adopts a mixed coding method of Chinese phonetic letters and Arabic numerals, and its coding structure is as follows: X
Disease name identification position:
Disease name suffix position
Disease name sequence position
Special system classification position
Department category position
Disease name identification position
The pinyin first letter "B" of the Chinese character "病" is used as the disease name identifier. Department category position:
The pinyin first letter of the first Chinese character of the name of each department is used as the department category identifier (see Table 1). Specialty system classification:
The pinyin initials of the first Chinese character of the specialty system name are used as the identifier of the specialty system classification (see Table 2). Disease name serial number position:
is the serial number position of multiple disease names in the same department category and specialty system classification, so as to ensure that each disease name has a non-repeating independent code.
Disease name suffix position:
When a disease name needs to be further subdivided, it is marked at this suffix position. Its identifier is Arabic numerals. 4:2.2 Syndrome classification coding method
Syndrome classification coding in this standard adopts a mixed coding method of Chinese phonetic letters and Arabic numerals, and its code structure is as follows:X
Syndrome identification position:
Syndrome suffix position
Syndrome sequence position
Syndrome detailed category position
Syndrome classification category position
Syndrome category position
Syndrome identification position
In the syndrome classification code, the pinyin first letter "Z" of the Chinese character "Zheng" is used as the syndrome identifier. 351
Syndrome category position:
GB/T15657--1995
The pinyin first letter of the first Chinese character in the syndrome category name is used as the identifier of the syndrome category (see Table 4). Syndrome classification position:
The first pinyin letter of the first Chinese character of the first connotation attribute name of the syndrome (see Table 5) is used as the identifier of the syndrome classification.
Syndrome sub-category position:
The first pinyin letter of the first Chinese character of the second connotation attribute name of the syndrome (see Table 5) is used as the sub-category identifier of the syndrome. If the syndrome contains only one syndrome attribute, all syndromes containing only this attribute are numbered in Arabic numerals on the double code position formed by the current code position and the syndrome sequence position. Syndrome sequence position:
In a syndrome classification, the sequence number position of a group of syndromes with the same syndrome attribute (numbers from 0 to 9 are used in sequence, and can be continued with letters from A to Z). When the classification of some syndromes is the same and the sub-category identifiers are also the same, in order to avoid duplicate codes, this standard stipulates that the method of using numbers and letters in sequence to encode in this sequence position is adopted. This standard stipulates that the first segment is 0-9; the second segment is A-K; the third segment is L-Z. Syndrome suffix:
When a syndrome needs to be further subdivided or several syndromes have similar meanings, they are identified in this suffix, and the identifier is Arabic numerals.
4.3 Special codes for TCM disease classification
This standard stipulates that in the same category (or classification) code, when the classification code is repeated, the first letter of the first Chinese character in the name of the first category (or classification) is defined as the code of the category (or classification); the second letter of the first Chinese character in the name of the second category (or classification) is defined as the code of the category (or classification), and so on. Whenever the disease name in this standard is the same as the disease name in the International Classification of Diseases, and the connotation is exactly the same, the TCM disease name is still retained in the standard and the category and classification of the disease name are classified, but the disease name is not given a serial number. This standard will replace the code identifiers \I\ and \Q\ determined by the pronunciation of the disease name with "M" and "V" respectively. 4.4 TCM disease classification cataloging method
This standard uses disease name classification codes and syndrome classification codes for parallel cataloging. Each disease classification code consists of its disease name classification code and its syndrome classification code, and its structure is: disease classification code - disease name code + syndrome code. 5 Classification code table
