Quartz for daily ceramics
1 Subject content and scope of application
QB/T1637—1992
This standard specifies the product classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation and storage of quartz for daily ceramics.
This standard applies to quartz products for daily ceramics. 2 Reference standards
GB/T4735 Chemical analysis methods for daily ceramic high silicon materials and their products ZBY20001 Determination method for moisture content of daily ceramic mud, mud and glaze slurry ZBY20002 Determination method for sieve residue of daily ceramic mud and glaze slurry 3 Product classification
3.1 According to the production state of the product, it is divided into block quartz (including processed quartz powder) and quartz sand (including powdered quartz). 3.2 According to the particle size, it is divided into granular and powdery. 4 Technical requirements
4.1 According to quality requirements, it is divided into superior products, first-class products and qualified products. 4.2 Appearance quality
4.2.1 Block quartz is usually white or milky white, transparent or translucent, without serious iron pollution. 4.2.2 Quartz sand is white, grayish white or yellowish white, without obvious mica and other impurities. 4.2.3 After the product is calcined at 1350C, superior and first-class products are white, and qualified products are white or light yellow. 4.3 The block size or particle size of the right quartz shall be agreed upon by the supply and demand parties. 4.4 The moisture content of the product shall not exceed 3%. If it exceeds, it shall be deducted in the measurement. 4.5 The chemical composition of the product shall comply with the provisions of Table 1. Table 1

5 Test method
5.1 Chemical composition is determined according to GB/T4735.
QB/T1637 -1992
5.2 The burning test is carried out in an electric furnace, and the temperature is kept at 1350℃ for 30min. 5.3 Particle size is determined according to ZBY20002.
5.4 Moisture content is determined according to ZBY20001.
5.5 Visual inspection is used to identify the appearance quality.
6 Inspection rules
6.1 Each batch of products must be inspected and qualified by the inspection department of the production unit before leaving the factory, and a product quality certificate must be attached when leaving the factory. 6.2 Products are formed into batches according to the same category and the same grade. 6.3 Sample extraction
6.3.1 For bagged products, sample bags are extracted from the product batch according to the provisions of Table 2, and 1kg of samples are extracted from each sample bag, mixed evenly, and divided into the required sample size for the inspection item by the quartering method. Table 2

6.3.2 Bulk products should be sampled by grid method or square method, not less than 10kg, crushed and divided into four parts to the required sample size for the test items.
6.4 Products are inspected according to technical requirements. If one item does not meet the requirements of this standard (except moisture content), re-sampling and re-inspection should be carried out. If there is still one item that does not meet the requirements of this standard, the batch of products shall be judged as unqualified. 6.5 If it is judged as an unqualified batch after inspection, the batch of products shall be reprocessed by the supplier before it can be submitted for inspection again. 7 Marking, packaging, transportation and storage
7.1 Products must be packaged in bags, and the weight error shall not exceed 1%. 7.2 The packaging should indicate: product name, trademark, grade, particle size, weight, date of manufacture, production unit and address. 7.3 Transport and store strictly according to product type and grade to prevent product contamination. Additional remarks:
This standard is proposed by the Quality Standards Department of the Ministry of Light Industry. This standard is under the jurisdiction of the National Ceramic Standardization Center. This standard is drafted by the Chaonan Ceramic Research Institute. The main drafters of this standard are Luo Degao, Dai Muqian and Liu Chunyang. From the date of implementation of this standard, the former Ministry of Light Industry standard QB901--1983 "Quartz and Quartz Sand for Daily Ceramics" will be invalid. 433
